“I have a feeling there'll still be a party,” Ryuk said to himself, “but for that to happen, we'll need to keep a close watch for any more of these red-haired guys.”
Moving near the corpse, he examined the bullet hole. Skin was flaking off in odd patterns, as if it was a second layer.
“Odd.” he thought. “I've never seen that happen before.” Curious, he picked at some of the skin, and removed a patch of the forehead. “If I kept at this, he'd be a completely different person.” Committing the revelation to memory, Ryuk left satisfied that things would be very interesting. Of course, they'd have to be, he had taken the cell phone of the dead man and tucked it away next to his notebook.
He stretched out his wings and took off to follow Zachary and Snickerdoodle. He found them standing at the top of a building, standing and waiting. For what, he had no clue, but it seemed that they were expecting something. As he drew closer to the ground, he pulled the cell phone out and concealed it in his hand.
“I wonder if he's sane enough to realize what this means.” he thought.
On the ground now, he whispered to Snickerdoodle, ”Don't tell him I put it there okay?”
Taking the phone, he walked behind Zachary and placed it a short distance away from his feet. Once done, he walked back to Snickerdoodle's side. Now to wait.
