An aggravated sigh passed through thin, pink lips. Where was she? Where was she?! Starlen Hughes, really had no clue. Whipping her head back and forth, she tried making heads or tails of the signs. She couldn't speak Japanese! She could barely speak English! A slightly feral sound, similar to that of a growl passed her lips. Several people stared at her in shock when that happened. How could something so small, and innocent looking girl? Pale blue eyes answered that with a harsh glare. The answer? It wasn't that innocent.
"Why did dad have to bring me here? I don't care for Japan! Sure, the fashions cute, and stuff..." More stares at the girl muttering to herself in English. "But now, I'm lost and--!! Ugh! What are you people staring at?!?!" By this time, people avoided her. Normally, this would bother the brat of a child. She was mad though, not worrying about it at the moment. She was lost, didn't speak Japanese, and- she checked her phone- she couldn't call her dad until 5:00 Pm. It was Noon. Great. This was not a good day.
Starlen walked on a bit further. Got more lost. There were less people here, how troublesome. "Excuse me!" She called out to one of them. "Do you speak English?" The petite blond asked a couple. No one replied. Perhaps no one knew English? Another sigh. She was lost, completely and utterly, and not happy about it.

Gazing at the various unnecessary products through storefront windows was a good way for Dazzle to waste time on the way home from To-Oh. Besides, he didn't really have any other obligations besides school in Japan anyway, except perhaps doing the occassional favor for Satsu. As he meandered throught the busy streets, something strange caught his eye.
Totally weird.
This is the first time he saw another blond since he got here. Even more fun, that hair was connected to what appeared to be a businessman's little princess who was throwing a hissy fit in public. Even though he was barely considered an adult, Dazzle still couldn't believe the attitude of the "youngsters" now a-days. Surely he wasn't like that, but he wasn't exactly normal either.
Oh well, she seemed to be in trouble, so why not help. You know, since he got to Japan, Dazzle noticed that he seemed to be doing a lot more of helping out. And a little bit more getting in trouble. But that was only one time, hopefully...
Dazzle's tall, lanky body walked up to the little fireball, contrasting her starkly in all manners of appearance except hair color. She was surrounded by a variety of on-lookers, who wanted to see what was going on with this spectacle of foreigners.
"You know, people can sense an attitude even if you are not speaking their language," lectured Dazzle in English. Fortunately, English was Dazzle's second language, after German and before Japanese, and he was actually half-decent at it, almost able to cover up his goofy German accent completely. "Just to let you know, half the people you asked probably spoke English..."

Starlen whirled around at hearing a voice in English. Finally-!! Wait, was he, scolding her? How dare he! She stared at the older teen. Giving him a once over. He was, odd looking to say the least. Lanky, big headed, and what was with that hair? Before he could notice her criticizing stare, she put on a helpless face. He would eat from the palm of her hand.
With watery blue eyes she gazed up at the man. "I-I'm sorry..." She sniffled. "I've just been.... w-wandering around and!" Tears began falling. "I'm sorry...." She murmured, wiping her eyes. Mentally, Starlen smirked. She'd just keep working it.
"S-so... You speak English too?" Ofcourse, state the obvious, act innocent. "That's good... Then, would you mind helping me out?" She gave a small smile, the waterworks slowing. "It'd be, really nice of you. Again, sorry I freaked out." Her round, blotchy face was dabbed with an embarrassed flush, as she cast her eyes downward.
Mr. Weird-Hair-Big-Head-Lanky-Man, you were going to be putty.

Dazzle looked down at the petulant girl before him with wonder and amazement. "Seriously," he thought, "Her parents let her go out on her own? She's got the emotional maturity of a first grader..." The girl was crying, with real tears, which did surprise Dazzle a bit. The onlookers began to go back about their business as the scene seemed to be resolving itself. "Ah well, It's not like I have anything better to do, although I am not a fan of babysitting. Maybe karma will pay off from all of the 'good' I've been doing in Japan..."
Something told Dazzle this could be trouble. Like with everything, he began to develop a series of contingency plans incase this is some sort of trap to scam foreignors...This girl could lead him into an ally where he'd be mugged by her big brother. Or she can set him up and sue him for sexual harrassment or something. People were weird these days. He tried to look into her eyes for sincerity, but she cast them downward, perhaps intentionally. Perhaps she really was just a lost, immature, spoiled girl.
Or perhaps she was going to kill him. Either way, this would probably be fun. Making fun of the immature, immoral, and voluntarily ignorant was sort of a past-time for Dazzle. Although against purposely teasing real people, those kinds of people probably deserved it. He just couldn't understand why other people wouldn't want to better themselves, and be number one like he did.
"You know," said Dazzle with a smirk, "You probably shouldn't so keen on talking to strangers. For all you know, I could be some sort of perverted ax murderer...Although with Kira around, those kinds of people are kind of being taken care of..." Dazzle trailed off, Kira was increasingly on his mind. Especially the poor job he was doing; There were still tons of lazy and undeserving people in this world that were OK with Kira.
"Although a girl like yourself probably doesn't trouble herself with thinking about tough things like Kira, wars, school, and responsibilities," spoke Dazzle soothingly, trying to withhold his grin. "Hey," he said, quickly diverting her attention from his insult, "if I introduce myself we're not strangers, right? I'm Dazzle." He didn't follow of with his usual speech about how the nick name wasn't intended to be as flamboyant as it sounds, because he wanted to gauge this girl's reaction.
"So, what do you need help with?"

After a few moments of silence, Starlen began to wonder if he was going to answer her. When the man before her spoke again, she returned her pitiful gaze up towards him. What on Earth was wrong with him? Sitting here talking so casually about being a perverted murderer. It took all her will power not to gape at him. Did he support Kira too? Just her luck that the only person willing to help her is some sort of freak.
Now, he was insulting her. Tough things like? She frowned at him. True, Starlen didn't care for Kira, she just wanted him to be taken down. Wars? Her father funded wars. School and responsibilities? How old did he think she was? The youngest she's been mistaken for was ten. Idiot. "I suppose not..." She murmured when he offered to introduce himself. And, just like everything else about this guy. His name was weird. This convinced Starlen that he was gay. Dazzle. Sounded like a Broadway musical.
"I'm Starlen." She gave a small curtsy when she said this. "Well, to put it bluntly... I'm lost." Was her reply to his question. "I don't know how to read Japanese, or even speak it. Well, besides simple things that most people know." She muttered the last part. "I wanted to see the sights, but I can't do that without getting lost." She gave an offhanded sigh. Perhaps she should have taken her father up on that offer to have a tour guide? It would have been better than Dazzle here. She still couldn't figure out what kind of name that was. Maybe she'd ask him later? "Thank you for offering to help though. It was very sweet of you."

Brilliant, an immature teenage girl lost in a country where she doesn't know the language. It's kind of funny, and kind of sad. Most of the time, kids like that come from a hard backgound and have had a tough life. Starlen probably was no exception. Still, she should be old enough to know that it isn't that bright to go wander around a city that is unfamiliar with.
Dazzle could also tell that she was clearly annoyed with him talking down to her. What did she expect, acting like that? Although she did not openly react to his name, he could tell that she was definately surprised that a guy like him went by a name like that. But that was most people's reactions. In fact, that was probably part of the intention behind the name.
Hell has no wrath like a woman's scorn, so it obviously was not a good idea for him to stick around. Although delightful on the outside, he knew that many girls like that were malicious on the inside, and ticking her off any more would not be a good idea. Introductions had been made, he would try to help her find her way, and then he would get out of there. Fast.
"Well, Starlen," Dazzle started, "I'm new here my self. Give me a sec..." Dazzle pulled his backpack out in front of him and pulled out a map and a pen. "Here, I'll write notes in English in addition to the German ones I already have." He began to write notes of key locations and major street names on the map. When he was finished, he handed the map to her and said, "I don't really need this anymore, I've been here long enough to know my way around this area at least..." Dazzle was planning on throwing out the map anyway, anything wasteful and unnecessary should be discarded.
"Exit stage right," Dazzle thought to himself. He began to wander away from Starlen, saying, "Sorry, I've got to go...Hope you can find your way back to wherever you need to be..." He swaggered off, making it clear that he wanted to leave. He sighed to himself, wondering if she is in fact capable of sustained thought. His thoughts began to unfocus as he began to think of that nice bowl of leftovers waiting for him when he got to Satsu's house...
