"I'm proud to say that we are interrupting this program for a very, special, announcement."
It seemed all at once. The various T.V's throughout the main city area suddenly beginning to switch off to static. As the static grew greater and louder, the individual pixels brought on slowly began to form into an image. With a circle drawing and its inside filling out in black, the screens and TV's of those that had been looking to or watching TV seemed to begin to bleed red as a smile with question marked eyes began to form inside of the circle. With the lips open wide as if to speak, and the static around the circle beginning to form into words themselves in white as it began to continue to circle around the face in varying degree's of orbit. For those that tried hard enough, the words from the start read "Sai Aime Jai Souffert Maintenant Je Hais", and simply continued to float around as moments later, a heavily laughter could be heard echoing throughout the large city.
It was haunting, as high pitched as one could possibly imagine at its start while getting lower and lower in tone as it reached its end...though even then most could still hear it ringing in their ears. It was maybe 5 minutes of the screens simply showing the image before a voice once again finally spoke out to the people.
"Why Hello my gloomy gusses!" The voice was in no way distorted as most might think, simply holding a slightly frightening tone of moderate pitch for a young adult man. Sounding that of both crazed yet fully held together, it was a mix of different things for most people to take in so suddenly as most eyes turned themselves to the screen.
"I would like to introduce myself! And what better way to do such a thing then to go on the one thing that everyone so lovingly enjoys to view! I mean, if you must reach the public in some way, what better way then this?"
He was rambling some what, just allowing his voice to be heard, to be kept in the minds of the people for as long as possibly before the real reason for his appearance could be placed.
"But some of you might be wondering why I have decided to come here...Well, to put it simply....Your all scum! Yes! Scum that allow yourselves to be placed under the influence of a man who refuses to show you his face! To show you that he can smile and laugh just like the rest of you....Because of course...you are all laughing and smiling even as we speak, aren't you?"
There was a silence from any broadcasting, the face just staying on the screen for a moment. It was another five minutes or so, that within the silence, the question marked eyes of the face seemed to grow a darker red, the dot of the mark slowly beginning to run down the face like blood from the bottom as a voice suddenly boomed out of the speakers.
"No laughter! Now that just can't be! You all must be under his effect so much, that even your faces can no longer show anything but horror.....can no longer BOOM!" At his final word, an explosion could be heard ringing out in the sky. The smoke could already be seen, coming close from one of the train stations as a laughter could be heard coming from the screen. "With the happy sounds of a people who have accepted what one man thinks to be God...or a new world."
The laughter stopped, but the chuckling did not. As the dots of the eyes continued to bleed down, upon emptying into the mouth, the image again began to scramble as it showed the image from what seemed to be inside the Sakura TV Station. Sitting at the desk was a man dressed in bandages, a black cowboy style had propped on his head as he was simply spread out relaxed in his chair. His face was unseen, though the main attraction to most was the device he seemed to hold in his hand.
"So...to the people who can no longer seem to smile...I ask you this. Where is your God? I so do wish to meet him....I so do wish to see a God Smile....So please....I beg of you." His voice began to break up, talking in between fake sniffles as he raised the hat just enough from his face to allow his large, white teeth to show along with his enlarged canines.
"Bring me your God....or if God is listening, please, show yourself to be. I'll be waiting...with all my faith....just for you...And so will the people of this lovely city that you may call home. Because I'm afraid...if I can't see you smile..."
The chair turned, allowing the back of it and his head to face the camera as he tossed off the hat and held up the device over his head.
"I'll just have to see how many people it takes before a God can be pleased through sacrifices."
His laughter again called out, as high pitched and haunting as ever as one last boom could be heard in the city at the press of the device he held. He could be seen rolling about in his chair., though his face went unseen, various loose strands of black hair could be seen swaying about from places between the bandages as the laughter went on for what amounted to about 2 minutes before the broadcast was finally ended.
As the screens faded to black, and the face simply began to fade away, final words began to appear on the screen.
"Laughter is the countdown of devastation."
With that, the broadcasting changed back to the program that was on before, as if no time had passed at all. Not at all....Not at all.
