So this was Japan....Out of all the places that he had found himself traveling to, he had to admit that this was the one place he found himself spending the least amount of time. In a way...he had become rather amazed by the city. From a country that had once been under such distress...under such a strive in order to keep its customs and past ways of life and go through so much, only to simply give into the command of the western world and begin to supply it with "authentic" tea cups, shit quality toys, and seizure inducing cartoons. In some way, he would have to figure they were simply deciding to make a silent attack by destroying the youth and turning the new generation into simple idiots of commercial goods and fascinations. If only he could give any country credit for being that smart.
Still, it was the simple things of a tourist. The lights that shined high in the city, the subways that transported various busy people to various busy things. From the point of view of a God, it would be simple little mice going through their maze, day in and day out in order to gain a small amount of cheese to fill themselves before being forced to run around all over again. With the cheese never really enough to fill them, and the running draining them more then the cheese could ever do....the mice simply continue to run, never truly filled, in hopes just for the next piece of cheese to come their way. While the Cats....standing in their high power, watch the mice below and swipe their claws every so often to cause even more strife or torment. Never to let the mice out, and only to wait till the final moment where they could swallow them whole as they beg for an end to the running. The mice deserved saving, deserve their own true God before these moments...these moments of simply being played along. In a way, maybe that is what this 'Kira' was doing, taking away the cats before the mice grow to the point where they no longer enjoy living.
With a hand slowly going up and taking the shades away from his face, darkened hues simply began to stare up at the sky above as he looked to the sign that hung overhead. The local police....The ones that in a way could have been said to have started it all. Dressed in a fine, black business suit, red tie, long but polished hair, it was enough to dictate a well enough positioned man just in the way that he wished for it. Stepping through the doors, with the sunglasses tucked neatly into the suits front pocket and his hands clenched tightly to a small brown folder at his side, the young looking man simply made his way into the building as if without any care.
The place where it all started....and the place that without beating around the bush would be the easiest place to see just what exactly he could pull up on anything he needed to know. Pushing forward to the front desk, a softened smile filled the mans once somber expression as he looked down to the two who managed the building.
"Hello, my name is Roland Grieves. I am here from the U.N. in hopes to submit my papers, and be placed into this police force in helping with the current Kira investigation."
His voice was proud and filled with character, his smile assuring and filled with grace. His words...simple fabrications and beautiful dreams. It was time to introduce himself as a new character in this play....a character he was ready to steal the spotlight.

Standing in the center of the deserted elevator, Misa looked over the reflection in the mirrored doors as they shut, waiting to arrive in the lobby. The fabric of her simple black tank top clung to her torso beneath a cropped black leather jacket, this particular one sporting an array of zippers across its surface. The deep purple lining slightly visible was identical to that of her plaid skirt, coming a bit above mid-thigh, just beneath where her lace ‘thigh-highs’ ended. Her feet were adorned by stylish leather high boots, sporting an almost 4 inch heel. Her jewelry was simple today, wearing only a large silver cross hung from a chain around her neck and matching earrings that dangled nearly to her shoulders. Toying with the buckle of the studded belt that hung at an angle across her hips, she wistfully thought of how she would have preferred to stay with Raito longer, but he had asked her to leave for a while, and she would never do anything to make him unhappy, she loved him, after all.
As the elevator doors began to slide apart, Misa glanced around the lobby, watching people bustle around in their daily routine. She sighed slightly as she stepped out of the lift, the heels of her boots clacking against the floor. Her pace was slow, her thoughts drifting to her beloved Raito, as they always seemed to. If she wasn’t to spend the rest of her day with him, what would she do? She stopped for a moment, wondering just what to do with her newly freed time. Perhaps a walk? She nodded to herself with a bright smile, deciding that would be a good start. She began to head towards the front doors at a casual pace, nearing the front desk, only to pause a few feet away from it. Kira? Hearing the name had piqued her interest.
Diverting her gaze from the doors ahead, her eyes sought out the owner of the voice she had heard speak, settling on the face of a man whom she presumed was only a bit older than herself. Looking over his professional suit and neat hair, she wondered who this man was and why he was interested in Kira. Well, she knew who he was, at least in terms of his name. She could thank her shinigami eyes for that one. But all they could tell her was his name, that and his remaining lifespan, but she wondered exactly what this man’s purpose was here and why he was interested in the Kira case, as well as if he could be a possible threat to Raito.
Figuring that talking with this man would be a much more interesting way to spend her day, she started over towards the desk, altering her gait in a rather practiced way, swinging her hips in a fashion she knew could capture the attention of almost any man. She kept a friendly smile on her face as she leaned a hip against the side of the desk, facing her body to the man. One hand came up to toy with a lock of blonde hair as she spoke, “You are interested in the Kira case?”

He stood there, his ears beginning to listen in on the random chatter of the men that sat at the front desk....Simple mice running around their cage without a clue. Mice who couldn't even figure out if anyone of upper power was present in the building as of now. Scanning the inside of the building, Chris said nothing outside of keeping a somewhat positive face as he nodded his head at appropriate times to their on going conversation. Thus far, all that was happening was the wasting of his time. Just as he was ready to open his mouth to speak, his blue eye quickly caught the sight of a woman exiting the elevator towards the back of the first floor. Quickly following, both his eyes set themselves upon her, taking her image in for a moment before allowing his eyes to trace back towards the men he had first come in contact with. He would have no reason to bother gazing upon the girl any further unless---
“You are interested in the Kira case?”
Both the attention of his own eyes and those who were speaking seemed to draw themselves over. Taking in her frame once more, this time up close, he took a moment to process everything as he turned his body more to facing her. Judging by her outward appearance...he couldn't even begin to grasp how exactly she would be able to help him. Outside of what would make for a beautiful trophy wife...he wasn't sure how she could really help anyone. Still in some strange way he recognized her face, even if he couldn't actually place where from.
Nodding his head finally, he pushed his eyes to set with hers to show some formality as he finally spoke. "Yes, you could say that. My name is Roland Grieves, a Linquist formally working with the U.N. However with all of the current problems going on throughout the world involving this 'Kira', I took a leave from my position in hopes to join the investigation. I was informed that Mr. Yagami worked here in Japan, and hoped to speak with him in order to see if there is anything I can do to help."
His voice was calm, each of his words holding just the right amount of emotion and charm as he continued to look her in the eyes as he spoke. His way of speaking was captivating, a talent he always seemed to hold as even the two that he addressed before were closely following his every word.
"I may not look like much, but I assure you I have plenty to offer." His voice was more directed towards the men, unsure of exactly what position this woman held as of yet.

Roland Grieves? That certainly was not the name she saw paired with this man’s remaining lifespan. Her bright smile never faltered, but she tipped her head to the side slightly in curiosity. He was lying, but why? Was he hiding from Kira? He does, after all, wish to join the investigation, so it would be reasonable to change one‘s name in order to be more well protected. Unable to fully determine whether this “Roland”, aka Christopher, was a valid threat, Misa decided to keep a close eye on him until she could speak with Raito. It would be best to simply act normally now, for Raito will surely know what to do. He always does. She straightened her head, looking over ‘Chris’ once more, then quickly shifting her weight from the desk in the usual excited manner in which she moved. Each of her actions exuded energy. She extended her hand to him, bowing her head slightly as she spoke again in her characteristic, bubbly tone:
“Misa-Misa is very glad to meet you, Mr. Grieves.” She giggled in a rather vivacious manner, briefly acknowledging the men at the desk with a smile, then looking back to “Roland”. “Mr. Yagami is busy right now with Raito and the others. They are having some secret meeting thing.” She frowned slightly, her tongue poking out between her lips a bit in her obvious displeasure at being separated from her love. “They are always looking for more help, though. I am sure if you come back later I can get you in to talk to them.” Her smile returned as she spoke, thinking how she would need to make sure Raito got he chance to evaluate this new man for himself before talking to his father.
[Sorry this is so short, I do not seem to have fully recovered from my 'ordeal' whcih seemed to suck much of my creativity from me]

His eyes looked over the girl a moment, listening to her speak as various thoughts began to flush into his mind. She was an amusing character none the less, causing his mind to quickly wonder if all those within Japan had the same....Spirit that this one did. However, it was beyond the point for the time being, with little hesitation the girl was not only able to tell him exactly what he wanted to know, but by playing his cards right it seemed he might be able to get in contact with the director even easier then he originally assumed.
With a slight nod, he slipped his shades from his collar as he began to undo them from their folded position. Holding a softened smile, he looked to the girl with his two distinct eyes as he spoke. "Really? That would be wonderful Misa-san. Though as you heard I am rather new to this region. If you happen to have the time, do you think you might be able to show me around?"
Establishing a quick enough familiarity with the girl would be his first step. If she had some sort of in to be able to let him see the director, then being on as much of her good side as possible would be the easiest way to work his way into the investigation. She already struck him as the type who was quick witted and one minded when she wanted her way in things....Like most women of a spoiled country or upbringing. Keeping a soft smile, he looked to her, awaiting her replay as he began to apply his shades upon his face.

As ‘Chris’ pulled his shaded glasses form his collar, Misa looked up into his eyes, actually observing them for the first time. Gazing back at her were hues of green and blue, with hints of yellow here and there. She had to admit that it had quite a breathtaking effect, and was certainly not something she had seen before. Listening as he spoke, she continued to meet his gaze, then nodding enthusiastically at his request. She was right, talking with this man was in fact a much more interesting thing to do with her day. Glancing quickly in the direction of the doors, she looked back to ‘Chris’ in time to see his multicolored eyes disappear behind his shaded glasses.
Leaving with him would be a good idea: that way she could keep an eye on him until she could get him to Raito. Plus, she really wanted to get out for a while, and some company would be nice, even if that company wasn’t her Love. Chuckling softly, she wondered where they could go. “Sure! That sounds like it would be fun. Hmmmm, but where could we go?...” She paused, a slender hand raising to her chin, tapping a finger against her delicate jawline. “Is there anywhere in particular you would like to see, Mr. Greives?”
Perhaps they could go to the park, or the café… Misa thought to herself that it would be important to stay in public with this man, since he was suspicious. Raito always said to never be alone with suspicious people, and she always does what he says because he is always right!

He said nothing for a moment, his eyes simply glancing over the girl from behind his tinted shades as he quickly began to process everything in the given instant. In a way, things were going far to well...and Chris was never one to actually believe in simply dumb luck when it came to these type of things. However, judging from what he could see from the girl already...Maybe dumb luck was exactly what he had stumbled upon. Either way, it seemed the things he had heard on the Japanese culture being a naturally friendly bunch in most of its society even pre-kira days seemed to still hold true.
With a charismatic smile, Chris changed his posture as he pushed his hands towards the door in a motion for her to begin to lead the way. With his smile staying, he positioned himself behind Misa before started to think over her question.
"Hmm...Well I'm not totally familiar with this region, so anyplace you can suggest would be fine. I guess from here on out your my personal tour guide."

Misa had to think for a second. Where to go, where to go? It was quite a nice day today, so being outdoors seemed like a nice idea…The park maybe? She clicked her hell against the floor a few times. No, there were too many secluded areas. Aoyama would be a great place! They could walk through the neighborhood, and even grab something to eat. It was a great place to visit for those new to Japan, and it was bound to be heavily populated as it was mid-day. Nodding to herself, she figured it would be the perfect place to go with Chris…or Mr. Greives…
Taking a step forward in the direction of the door after her momentary mental debate, then looked back at the man who was to be her companion for the day. Smiling, she bowed her head slightly in a mocking yet bubbly manner. “Glad to be of service.” She giggled and continued to walk towards the door. Waiting to hear Chris following behind her, she spoke again, “I think we should head out to Aoyama. It is a great place to get a feel for Japan.” She turned her head back to look at him. “That okay with you?”
