A nice, quiet day at a nice, quiet cafe. The sun was shining through the window and brightening up the table Beige sat at. She hadn't heard of a Kira report all day. That was a good sign...the young lady herself had gotten quite tired of those reports and had a faint hope that they'd eventually stop. Was she ever wrong.
Beige had only let the rim of the coffee cup touch her lips when she overheard someone babble on Kira. Kira, Kira, Kira. Oh, please, shut up. Okay, so that wasn't her usual thought process, but you'd bed telling someone to shut up from your thoughts if someone prattled on and on about a subject you wouldn't want to hear about...wouldn't you? Beige closed her eyes and let out a soft sigh.
Finally, she lifted the cup to her mouth and took a small sip of coffee, becoming lost in her own thoughts for a few minutes. She was bored. Her peaceful day was now ruined, so maybe she could wait for someone to make small talk with until her day was cheered up. That sounded like a good idea. Beige rested the cup back on the table and paused to brush away a lose strand of hair from her face.

(Well as I can't watch Rent now, I'll go ahead and reply now before going to bed.)
Silence.
It was the one thing that Ariella was by no means use to at this point in her life. At least once every day when she would wake up and have her morning cup of coffee and sit down to watcht the news, she would always find at least one more case where Kira was involved in some way. It got to the point that this became somewhat of a ritual for herself. For a while, she quite enjoyed watching the news, just for another chance to get more clues as to who this Kira person really was. But so far that very day, as she woke up as usual and turned on the news, what greeted her was no word on Kira whatsoever. She found herself waiting, and waiting, and waiting. And still nothing about Kira. Finally, when the news ended, Ariella turned it off, slightly disappointed.
Well, with that part of her day out of the way, she was now free to enjoy the rest of her afternoon. Though enjoy wouldn't be the exact words she had in mind. As she didn't want to fall too behind on the Kira case as it was, she still had some work that could be completed. Though watching anymore of those videos would just be torture, as no matter how hard she searched through each of those videos, she would find very little in the way of clues as to the whereabouts of Kira. But, there were still some files she had yet to read, things she had prolonged on reading for a great time at the moment. And as there was nothing else going on,a dn she had nothing new about Kira to read over, Ariella found this would be the best time to read over some of the older files.
However, having to sit in her small apartment all day, when the sun was beaming down from the heavens above. The prospect of not being able to step into the sunlight at all that day seemed to bother her, even if it was in the slightest bit. She didn't want to lock herself away all day and not be able to enjoy the nice weather for a change. Perhaps, she could still read the files, but find a better place to read them at. A nearby coffee shop would be the perfect place. Though, she had already had her morning cup of coffee, that didn't mean she couldn't have another one, and perhaps a cinnamon roll to go with it. At least it got her out of the house for a bit. That much was quite obvious and very good to know.
Quickly pulling back her jet black hair into a tight ponytail, Ariella slipped on her silver glasses over her steel blue eyes before grabbing her laptop - which was thankfully already in it's case - and a manila folder which held a few files she still had to read as well. Making sure she had managed to grab everything first, Ariella finally turned and stepped out of her apartment.
As the coffee shop wasn't but a block away from her anyways, she didn't much feel the need for driving, so instead, Ariella opted to walk that block to the coffee shop, being careful that she wouldn't drop any of her files or misplace them - as she had been known for doing a time or two in the past - Though, as she reached the cafe, Ariella was only mildly surprised that she hadn't managed to drop or misplace anything on her walk over. Though, of course she wouldn't have allowed herself to lose such valuable evidence to begin with, but one never knew what would fully happen.
Finding a table directly opposite of a girl who seemed to be sitting alone, Ariella placed her stuff down and walked over to the counter, ordering a cinnamon roll and some coffee to wash it down with. Here, she waited patiently, silently tapping her fingers against the counter until her food was set before her. Thanking the girl, Ariella turned away from the counter and walked back over to her table, setting her coffee and cinnamon roll down before sitting down herself. Momentarily, she took a quick sip of the coffee before pushing the manila folder close to her while all the while booting up the computer and waiting for it to completely load.
Granted, at the moment, she was hoping for something far more exciting to have happened, but as it was, at the moment, since that didn't seem to be possible, she was left with the ever so dreaded task of reading file after file.
(And now with my reply done, I swear I'm off to bed. Good night!)

Beige continued to mindlessly sip away at her coffee, those chocolate-brown, hazel tinted eyes staring at absolutely nothing. The girl who had strolled over to sit across from Beige only caught Beige's attention for a minute before the brunette went back to staring straight through thin air. However, her attention was immediately caught by the laptop and manila folder the other girl had. Beige knew she should have been minding her own business, but her attention could be captured easily whenever she was bored.
Was it Beige's imagination or did that manila folder seem a bit thick? Well, boredom was getting to the young girl's mind, so she might as well make small talk. Beige's coffee cup was empty and she thought it best to leave it there as she walked over to the table where the other girl sat. "Do you mind if I sit here?" Beige asked, motioning to a seat directly opposite of the girl before Beige.
