NMirror, Mirror ◊
Makoto has some European heritage, but is still mostly Japanese. Like his mother he is taller than average, standing at 5'10" around three inches taller than the norm but average from his ancestry. He has the characteristic dark brown eyes, black hair and generally smaller structure. However he tends to dye his hair regularly to avoid monotony. He may wear contacts on occasion. His facial structure is very delicate but is not noticeable if he keeps his weight up. With his disease (mentioned later) he has to put effort into keeping up a healthy weight. He has not been doing a good job of taking care of himself as of late so he now could well qualify as a pretty-boy which is a source of mortification for him. If he happens to keep himself in good condition, however he can bulk up to the point that he had a short stint as a bouncer.
His irises have a thin, golden crescent at the bottom, a partially depleted Kayser-Fleischer Ring. The movements of his right arm can be rather stiff and is prone to uncontrollable tremors which he has learned to ignore. His right arm also has four scars where pins related to his broken arm used to be. He still has two pins- only noticeable in an x-ray or such of course. Due to these two remaining pins he may or may not go off in store theft-detectors.

N What I've Done ◊
Makoto was born in his family home in Usa located in the Ōita Prefecture. His dizygotic twin, Ichirou was born two hours before him. Makoto looked most like his maternal grandfather while Ichirou looked very much like their father. Feelings toward said grandfather were not all that amicable to say the least, so Ichirou ended up being slightly favoured both for being the eldest son and for not resembling a disgraced family member. The two brothers grew up in their modest house. They both attended private elementary schools attesting to their family's' moderate wealth. Makoto had a rather average childhood. He suffered through a multitude of skinned knees, the odd incident of being bullied, general injuries from rough-housing and a broken arm when he was five (Ichirou had told him that he would not be able to make it up the tree. He did, but he did not stay there for very long.) When he was seven his appendix had to be removed. These two hospital visits, paired with those that were family-related managed to be traumatizing enough to cause him to develop a persistent fear of both doctors and needles.
His time in secondary-school was also fairly average with underlying tones of increasing social inferiority which would catch up with him in later years. Unlike Ichirou who predictably, excelled at sports and other physical activities, Makoto excelled at things that had to do with writing and books. He began to read the paper regularly and kept his eye on the news when it happened to be on. Around his last year in secondary-school some drama involving several unsuccessful pregnancies including a rather damaging stillbirth on his mother's part. This damaged the family dynamics quite a bit and lead to his father beginning some of the drinking habits of men with difficult home lives. Despite the drinking issue there was no abuse in the household- but it left Makoto with a strong sense of moderation when it came to intoxicating substances later in life.
Before he started upper-secondary school Ichirou began getting very ill. About five months into his illness it was discovered that he had Wilson's Disease, but at the time it was too late: irreversible damage had been done to his liver. Believing he was better off than he was doctors placed him on any number of treatments but he died when his liver failed. Makoto was tested and began treatment for Wilson's Disease shortly after Ichirou was diagnosed. He still has some neurological damage and the remains of a partially-formed but still visible Kayser-Fleischer Ring. Makoto recovered from his brother's death much faster than either of his parents. He attributes this to their move to Tokyo shortly after Ichirou's death. The three happened to move in next to a foreign family that had moved into the country after their father's company made a deal with one of the companies in Tokyo. This family was everything Makoto's family was not. They had three daughters and three sons. In the way of polite neighbors the other family invited the Abe family over for dinner. Conversation lead to the recent loss of the eldest son of the Abe family and was met with much empathy as the family had lost their youngest son in a previous year. Over the rest of the year Makoto and their youngest surviving son became very good friends. Aden was two years older than Makoto (and had a rather difficult accent which took quite some time for Makoto to get used to) and was not a good influence at all. Before he discovered he had Wilson's Disease Makoto's career choice had been to join the JGSDF and become part of the Special Operations Group. Robbed of his dream but still alive he was temporarily lost and was understandably thrown for a loop. Aden was a pseudo-Anarchist and talked about his ideals all of the time.

N Take a Look ◊
It is not uncommon to see Makoto walking around with a newspaper tucked under his arm. However, if you look closely you may notice that not only is it from a day or two ago, but all of the pictures with people in them have been neatly removed. He has no pictures of himself, his family, anyone at all. No posters decorating the walls of his room and no television siting in his living room awaiting his return home. He has extreme issues with objects representing sentient beings as he feels it is a mockery of life, although his frequently stated reason for his adversion is 'they're just creepy'. He can be around them. He can touch them. He can watch television, but he would much rather not.
He seems to be the type of person who is laid back, but actually is not. When something goes wrong he will not stress out about it, but it is guaranteed he was stressing out about it before anything went wrong. What is more likely to stress him out after an incident is other people stressing out about the mistake which throws him off completely. He is not able to understand why some people feel the need to brink their failures to the forefront by causing such a fuss about it when they should just try to learn from the experience and improve themselves.

Weapons It depends. One day he just may be carrying a razor in his shoe or have a knife hidden somewhere. Others he may be completely unarmed. There are a few gardening tools in the shed at his house and any number of cooking utensils in the kitchen. He probably would not hesitate to use any of these things as a weapon if needed. He also has a box-cutter in his front room that he may also try to utilize.
Alliance Neutral (has yet to form an opinion)
