Will kill for grapes (Ukiyo)

[Havoc]

The shinigami flew down from his desolate and dim world, to the human world hoping to find his partner in chaos. He had spoken to many humans before; a detective, a regular school student, the list goes on. He had met with a man named Jinsei or Ukiyo for an alias. Havoc flew around aimlessly looking for this 'L' person that Ukiyo told him to find, a hopeless attempt. No matter where he went, he saw many humans whose name had an L in it. The first and last ended with L and he was getting real annoyed. It would've been nice to have at least some sense of direction on what the human had looked like, rather than to see him on a computer screen!

Havoc drummed his nails on his scythe and landed in front of a building, taking a break and looking for grapes to snack on, since the shinigami realm had no grapes as good as the human world did. While searching, Havoc saw a man dressed up how a cop would dress like go into a building with others dressed like him. With no doubt in his mind, there had to be cops in there. And L was a cop so he had to be in there (well to Havoc he was) though he wasn't. [Where's Ukiyo! Where's Ukiyo! Havoc though. He smelled the faint smell of grapes! He saw a person walking down the road with a grape soda. Havoc innocently took his scythe and smacked it from the kid's hand and drank the soda that fell on the ground, then spitting it back out.

"Where is Ukiyo! If he doesn't show!" Havoc yelled. His wings spread out from his back and flew up in the sky and sat down on the NPA building, waiting for his companion. He ripped a piece of the Death Note paper and held it delicately in his hand, wondering whether or not to drop it. It would be funny if someone picked the paper up and saw the shinigami who had dropped it and freaked out. An instant heart attack without killing anybody. Havoc placed it on his wrist and continued to look out for Ukiyo. Ukiyo would be able to see him since he had touched a piece of paper from the notebook himself.

"He had better have grapes with him."

Ukiyo was walking down the street and was on his way to the NPA headquarters, he figured he could find out some more information on L and A if he went down there and asked some questions. He had his head phones on and was listening to some music on his I-pod. He continued to walk down the street for a bit and then he saw a figure in the sky which he recognized. It was Havoc. Jinsei jogged up a bit to the NPA headquarters and saw that there were a couple people nearby so it was impossible to talk to him without being labeled as crazy. Jinsei looked up at Havoc for a couple seconds and then stretched or it seemed that way to the normal person, he was signaling for Havoc to come to him and to follow him. It was convenient for Ukiyo for Havoc to be there so obtaining information should be easy but of course, Ukiyo knew he would have to pay a small fee. Ukiyo pulled out a small bag of grapes and waved them a bit. If Havoc didn't get the signal to follow, he would, without a doubt, come after Ukiyo. Ukiyo started to walk a little away from the NPA building and moved towards a small alley and expected Havoc to follow, and when he did he would talk with him a bit and go over a plan.

[Havoc]

Havoc smelled the faint smell of grapes, and scoffed. He looked around and saw Ukiyo walk by the office carrying a bag of grapes. Havoc placed his scythe up and flew up the Ukiyo, not paying any attention to him but what he had in his hands. Havoc and Ukiyo had formed a partnership a while back. The whole reason was to find L and Kira and entangle them inside their web. To Kira and L, it was a mental game of chess but for Ukiyo and Havoc, it was a game to see who could crack first. Both were on neutral sides but they both made a great teams, especially since Havoc was a slave to grapes.

"Hey Jinsei, glad to see you here...hey look at what you got! Grapes! Oh, I found something that could relate to finding this L character, though I wasn't able to find Kira. Anyway, you said that L was a detective right? A detective is a cop right? After harassing people about finding cops, I was told to come here. I even lengthened my lifespan some. When I got here I saw someone dressed like a cop and go in here with other people dressed like a cop. Anyway figuring if people dressed like one cop was in one building, then they all could lead to L! Now...my payment?" Havoc was out of breath when he finished his reasoning. To tell the truth, Havoc was one of the smartest shinigami around, though shinigami wasn't all that smart.

Havoc's wings spread out, gleaming broken shards of jewels in the sun. Havoc flew around Ukiyo focusing on the grapes.

"Hehe, your deduction skills are good so it saves me the time of having to explain things to you. I already knew this but I live in the human world so it's actually a good thing that figured this out yourself so I'll give you grapes for effort"
Ukiyo looked up at havoc and had a smile on his face. He took out a couple grapes and tossed them to Havoc.
"Now there's a problem that I'm facing though. L likes to keep his identity secret from what I've heard and it's no surprise that he does. I'm not sure if L is even here but the NPA are the closest lead to L. I was planning on asking them a couple questions but it would be better if I had access to the whole building, but unfortunately I'm not part of the NPA so most of the areas are restricted to me. This is where you come in. I want you to search the rooms for any information you can find on L and if you can, also find information on A. After you finish the search I'll give you a bag of grapes instead of a handful, but just keep in mind that I'm mainly looking for information on their whereabouts so don't concern yourself with looking for L so we can save time. If he just happens to be here, we can consider it a bonus."
Ukiyo walked out of the alley and looked back at Havoc to see if he had any objections or wanted to add anything to his plan.

[Havoc]

Havoc stared at the human and threw his scythe at him, making sure to miss. Shinigami wasn't allowed to kill humans by means other than a Death Note. If he was to kill Ukiyo with his scythe then he would get killed himself and that wouldn't be good.

Hold up here Jinsei! Just because I'm a shinigami, doesn't mean I'll be doing all the work in this operation. Now while I'm going to find the files of the L and A,what the hell are you going to be doing? How can we be certain that they have a file on A or L? A said he was a private Investigator and L never showed his face so how can they have a file on someone they never met? Our best bet is to hold the NPA hostage and make them give us the information we want. Or, since I'm invisible to humans who never touched the notebook, you can find the file while I kill! Havoc snapped. He had no reason to snap at Ukiyo, but he was a shinigami and he thought that he had the authority to order around Jinsei. That helped his image of being a shinigami, no matter the cost of what would happen.

Do you have any objections to that Jinsei?!?!?!?!"

Ukiyo looked at the scythe that was thrown at him but his expression didn't change, the angle that it was thrown at would surely miss him so there was no reason to flinch or try to dodge. He didn't think that throwing the scythe was really necessary but listened to Havoc without saying anything. After Havoc finished talking, Ukiyo put his hand over his face for a couple seconds. It was clear to Ukiyo that even though Havoc was pretty smart, he was reckless in some cases and didn't bother to think of any consequences for his actions. Ukiyo moved his hand from his face and had a serious expression on his face. He looked at Havoc directly in the eyes and started to explain his plan and the reason why Havoc's plan was so foolish and kept his facial expression and his tone of voice serious.
"Actually yes I do have, the reason I want you to look for any files is because you are invisible to them and I'm going to ask them questions. I already considered the fact that there might not be any files on L or A. It's only natural that they keep there identity hidden since they have to worry about Kira. I plan on asking them about them what they know about L and his relation to the Kira case to see if they actually know anything and if All goes well I can go undercover in the NPA and search for L and A. If i were to go look for the files I would be caught by the surveillance cameras and if you killed everyone here I would be accused as Kira. This incident would, without a doubt, be broadcasted all over the media as the works of Kira and the real Kira would catch notice of this incident and assume I have a death note. He would consider my actions to be reckless and that I would risk exposing the death note and its method of killing to the world and he would try to kill me before word of the death note ever got out. That is something I wish to avoid. It's safer for you to search for files on L and A and not to kill anyone in the building and it's easier for me to get information and ask questions without being suspected to be Kira."
Ukiyo walked a little closer to Havoc and continued to make eye contact.
"We can't afford to do anything reckless if we plan on finding L or do anything to get Kira to see us as possible threats. Are we at an understanding?"

[Havoc]

Havoc backed away and sneered.

"You have guts talking to a shinigami like that. People who meet a shinigami usually back away in fear but you...you're not like other people are you Ukiyo? Heh, I'll go and get the files but I want my payment when I come out." Havoc said walking through the wall. He looked in every single room for the files of either A or L. He was getting tired of looking and therefore, did the thing he had been doing sine arrived in the human world. He took a piece of the Death Note and waited for a cop to be alone. He placed a hand over the cop's mouth and allowed him to touch the paper from the notebook. His screams were silent through Havoc's hand. Havoc ordered him to take him to the files of L and A.

While the two were walking into the staff only part of the police station, he was stopped. For some reason he wasn't able to go in. This angered Havoc as he pulled out his notebook and began writing like he never wrote before. He looked at the clock and memorized the time. It was 12:56

John Udo - Death by car accident. At 12:58, John opens the door to the files section and begins to look for the files of two detectives named L and A. Once he retrieves the files, he realizes that he is seen on camera. At 1:01, running in terror for being found out, he runs out of the NPA and into a busy street, where a truck runs him over.

Havoc waited and the officer opened the door, looking like he was in a trance. He walked around and instead of pulling out two specific files, he pulls out every file and freaks out on camera, where he runs out in the street and is killed, leaving Havoc to look at the files. Sighing, Havoc pulled out as much as he could and walked out of the front door, only thing visible was the files. Aside from the kill, the scariest thing was the files flying by themselves.

Havoc took the files to the back alley and threw them down to the ground, letting the papers fly from the folder.

"Hey Ukiyo! Check out these files!" He yelled

Ukiyo gave a small chuckle as Havoc made his statement and then went through the wall.
Hmm.. I wonder what he has planned? I'll wait a couple minuted so I don't get in his way I guess...
He waited in the alley for a couple minutes while thinking of an escape plan just in case Havoc were to do something reckless and attract attention. Ukiyo looked around for a bit and saw a dumpster and a fire escape at the side of the building. He moved the dumpster under the ladder so he would be able to reach the ladder if he needed to escape.
"All right, that should be good for now. Now.. Where's Havoc?"
Ukiyo heard the sound of tires screeching and then a loud thump. He immediately knew this was the work of Havoc, and knew that he did something reckless with the Death Note. Ukiyo decided it would be best not to show his face so he wouldn't be suspected as Kira and stayed in the alley, he would ask Havoc to explain what happened after he got away safely. Ukiyo looked around for a couple seconds and saw Havoc appear with a file and threw it at the ground.
"You caused a scene didn't you? There's no helping it a guess, at least you got the files."
Ukiyo collected the papers, put them back into the folder, and then hid it inside his shirt. He didn't have anywhere else to hide it and it would be hard when he tried to escape with a folder in his hand.
"Let's go before they start looking over here."
He climbed on top of the dumpster, grabbed on the ladder that led to the fire escape, and made his way to the roof. He made sure to kick the dumpster away when he grabbed on the ladder so no one would think that someone climbed onto the fire escape. Ukiyo eventually made his way to the roof and luckily no one saw him climbing, he then sat down and took out the file and a bag of grapes from his pocket.
"Here's your payment. Now what exactly happened?"
Ukiyo tossed the bag of grapes to Havoc and waited to hear what Havoc did, he would look at the files when Havoc was finished talking.
"I'm assuming you used to the Death Note?"

[Havoc]

"Of course I used the Death Note. Did you honestly think that I would search for those files? Kid, you don't know the first thing about a shinigami. If I was too look for the files then that would require me doing something active and that's something I don't like to do. Havoc picked up the bag of grapes and looked at what had happened. It was a little gruesome, perfect for the shinigami. To him this was a picture painted masterpiece. He honestly didn't care about the trouble Ukiyo would get, but then again he wanted the game to continue. His wings spread from his back as he followed Ukiyo.

"Does it say anything?"

[jinsei]

"Well whatever, it was expected coming from you. I should probably keep this in mind when asking you to do something. Anyway let's see what these files say."
Ukiyo opened the folder and took out the papers. He began to skim through each of them and began to sort them in the order of relevance towards L and A. The ones that had little relevance went on the bottom and the ones that seemed most important were put on the top. Each file had something to do with L or A but most of them just mentioned them and didn't really give much information. Some of the other files had to do with cases that were solved by A and L. Ukiyo continued to sort the files and there was one file that peaked his interest. It was the file dealing with the Kira case. There was no specific information on Kira or L but it proved that L was working with the NPA and was in charge of the case. Ukiyo already assumed this because of recent events but he wasn't sure if he just borrowed the media a bit and was working on the case alone or if he was actually working together with them.
"Hey Havoc, what do you think of working together with the NPA?"
Ukiyo's plan was clear now. He would join with the NPA and find L through them and as a bonus he would also search for Kira with the help of L. If all goes well, he could figure out who Kira is before L since he had the advantage of knowing how Kira kills so he could piece together the information himself and when he did, he would leave the team and say he would be doing his own search and say that he would try to surpass L. This would be a lie, of course, and an excuse to leave the team and from there, Ukiyo's real intentions would be carried out.
"We have a long way to go, but in the end, we'll be the ones who have truly won."
Ukiyo gave out a small laugh and looked at Havoc to see if he had anything to say.

[Havoc]

"I seriously don't care whether I join the NPA, Kira, or the anti-shinigami force, wherever there's grapes I'm there. And being as you win or lose which I really don't care, as long as I'm close to Kira then I'm good" Havoc said shrugging and eating his prize. He played this game on either side. He hated Kira with a passion but this L character made it seem that nobody could catch him without his help. Havoc hated both sides and once he would get into close contact with either or, he would make up his mind on whether to kill them. No, that was up to Ukiyo. He went to the edge of the building and smiled while placing his hood up.

"Ukiyo, the mind that you posses is almost close to the mind of a shinigami. This is a mental game of chess between L and Kira but for us....this is just a simple game on which one would crack first!" Havoc said laughing.

[jinsei]

"Haha, I guess your right, or it's just a coincidence that I happen to be thinking that same thing."
Ukiyo walked next to Havoc and looked down at the cops gathering around the NPA building. They would soon find out that there were several files missing but it wouldn't directly influence L or A in their search for Kira, so there wouldn't be much of a commotion.
"Right now, theres nothing that stands in our way but this is still only the beginning. Sooner or later, all hell will break loose and it will be because of them, this, and these."
Ukiyo pointed to the cops down below first, his head next, and then pointed to the folder in his hand while looking at Havoc.
"You say I have a similar mind of a shinigami but you know... One day that might not be all I have similar."
Ukiyo pointed to his eyes, he was making a reference to the shinigami eye deal. He would have no use for it now but he might need it later in the future.
"Imagine how easy this game would be if I had a Death Note. I could have L and Kira going in circles with that kind of power."
Ukiyo gave a slight chuckle and then looked at Havoc again.
"Wouldn't you agree?"

[Havoc]

"To say the least, take this anyway you want it, you act more of a shinigami than most shinigami in my realm. You're not better than me but considering some of the shinigami I met in the past, you top them over." Havoc walked around with his scythe and looked over, still munching his grapes as more people came to help the person he had killed. Nothing better than dinner and a show, since this topped off more shows or dinners he had ever had. Matter fact the only thing close to a show was watching the other Death Gods gamble, while eating dry apples. That didn't come close to the Havoc that he was having now. Humans are better

[/Color]"The game could be easy if you had a Death Note but you have two things that can be used as your Death Note. You have a choice to get the shinigami eyes for yourself because I won't be around as your contact lenses. I need to go home to get some sleep for myself too, and the other is me. This game that we're playing and the material you're using is almost like cheating. But shinigami, us shinigami, never play fair! [/Color]

"Hahaha, I couldn't agree more. So with the current events going on so far, who should we go after first? A or L? I'm not really sure which to go after. A currently has information of the Death note but he doesn't know all the rules. He would have an easier time going after Kira so if we kept an eye on him we could find Kira and he also knows who L is so we can find both, or we can toy with him and lead him to his down fall which could be fun. On the other hand, we can go after L who will, without a doubt, lead to Kira. If we go after L, we can probably find so both situations are win-wins so I'm not sure which to go after."
Ukiyo paced on the roof for a bit giving both decisions a fair bit of thought. He then looked down from the roof and gave a small chuckle when he saw the commotion being caused. He gave a sigh and said something under his breath.
"Heh, you really know how to cause a commotion don't you?"
Ukiyo laid himself down and looked up into the sky with one of his hands under his head for a cushion, so he wouldn't have to lay his head on the roof, and he had his other hand up with his palm open and then closed it into a fist.
"Kira will be in our reach, no matter who we go after first but the question is, which would be more fun to go after? A or L?"

[Havoc]

"I suggest we go after L. After all, he is the headmaster of the whole game and this game will be long if we take our slow sweet time on some fool who doesn't have anything to do with the Kira case. We can get to A later once we have L and Kira in our hands. Besides, what if you was to get killed while investigating A? That would be very distressing, considering that I can't be in the human world for that long. The only reason I'm allowed to be here is because I'm lying to the king, telling him I'm stalking you until the day I decide to end your life. Though, I won't." Havoc laughed. He finished his bag and threw it at Ukiyo, having it land directly into his hair. He cackled and placed his scythe on the ground, then looking into the air. He yawned and pointed to the sky.

"Besides, the quicker the game is over, the more time I have to sleep. Oh and Ukiyo. Kira is using the Death Note so he will have a shinigami hanging around him 24/7. I'll locate Kira by finding his shinigami. I'm telling you now Ukiyo, I am invincible to this shinigami as he to me but you're too easy to kill, so when I'm around Kira I'll give you a signal to hit the road got it?"
