[glow=maroon]Cross Academy[/glow]
A school established by a man called Kaien Cross to show that humans and vampires can get along. While the Day Class contains the humans, the Night Class holds only the vampire students. Why would blood-thirsty vampires be willing to go to a school that also allows humans to attend? They only attend such a school because a pure-blood vampire known as Kaname Kuran attends and has asked others to join him. But, without the help of the Disciplinary Committee, or Prefects as some call them, there would be no way to keep the Day Class students away from the unimaginably beautiful Night Class. The Disciplinary Committee only consists of two Day Class students. Yuuki Cross, the adopted daughter of the academy's headmaster, and Zero Kiryuu, a vampire slayer who's family was slain long ago by a pure-blooded vampire. There are many who do not accept the idea of vampires and humans going to school together, while there are other who enjoy the idea. Either way, Headmaster Kaien had been granted permission to make such a school.
But where did this virus come from? A virus that Level D and E vampires have. Humans who were turned into vampires by purebloods have. Not all of them have it, but many do. But, if a human is bitten by one of these vampires, then they get the virus as well. They don't have to have their blood sucked out, they merely have to have a vampire's teeth puncture their skin and then they are infected with the virus. As far as we know, Level A, B and C vampires are unable to be infected by this virus. Meaning Purebloods, Nobels and Ordinary Vampires. But never has anyone found one of those vampires who has been bitten by an infected vampire before. So we don't know for sure. Unfortunately, a cure has yet to be found. What if a cure is never found? Will the humans in the world slowly become extinct as these turned vampires keep feeding?
But what does this virus do? It causes anyone who is infected to have horrible hallucinations of the things that they fear the most. And, if you are human, you start feeling horrible pain once in awhile and slowly begin to die. Vampires do feel the horrible pain once in awhile as well, but they are unable to die from this virus. They merely have hallucinations along with the pain.
Another question would be: How did this virus come to be? Well, people have come up with a rumor that it all started from a pureblood vampire. He was the first one to ever have the virus. The pureblood knew he had it and he had the idea of making all the humans suffer from this virus. So he would bite people which caused them to turn into vampires and carry the virus as well. Then the turned vampires would bite other humans who would then get the virus as well and slowly die from it. How quickly will it take for a human to die? It depends on how long the vampire's teeth were in your skin. If they just barely punctured the human's skin with their teeth, then it could take up to three years, at the most, for the human to die. The shortest amount of time for a human to die was five months. Is a cure going to be found for this horrible virus? But, even if we do find a cure, does that mean the virus will stop? What if the rumors of a pureblood being the one infected is true? Then we'd only be able to stop this virus when that pureblood is gone.
