---{Bleach: Paradise is Nowhere}
Gazing through the looking glass one forgets the horrors of today and falls into the past. In this instance we travel far from the macabre day when Sosuke Aizen and his cohorts attacked and left the Soul Society for their fortress in Hueco Mundo. On this day we travel to a different world, one where beings such as Ichigo Kurosaki, Byakuya Kuchiki nor even Soutaichou Shigekuni Yamamoto ever existed. It is in this alternate worl that time lingers when the Quincy still thrived and protected their loved ones from the deadly hunger of the Hollows and defended themselves from the endless onslaught of the Shinigami forces. And most importantly, we travel to a time where Arrancars were nothing more than merely tales of legend passed down by the old ones living in the Seireitei. We travel back to the land of Paradise is Nowhere.
For the longest time the beings known as Quincy have never been able to get along with their afterlife counter-parts; the shinigami, insisting that their method of executing hollows was right and just. The mortals never guessing nor understanding the damage they were doing to the balance between the material and spiritual planes soon enough locking them in constant war. The Shinigami attacked the Quincy for upsetting the balance between the goods and evils of the world, and the Quincy attacked the Shinigami to defend their own lives from the strange creatures garbed in black. With the constant fighting between these spiritually powerful beings came the price of near chaos in the lands nearby. “Which-hunts” as they were called were often held by the spiritually ignorant humans to exterminate any powerful spiritual beings in the near vicinity. Quincy and Shinigami alike were often sentenced to death and hung by the neck until so. This however only further upset the balance between the good and the evil of the spiritual world, brining about more chaos than ever before.
In the midst of all this chaos stood one being utterly devasted by the pure carnage of it all; the current Soutaichou, a man whom had never truely been supportive for the war only going through with it to help protect the balance. It'd be serval more years after a large body count on both sides that the Soutaichou approached the leader of the Quincy with a treaty. This treaty stated that both sides would stand down and surrender, that the Quincy would be allowed to defend their homelands from hollows on the condition that a shinigami representitive was present so that they purify said hollow. Hesistant at first to agree to something not too far off from what they were fighting against the Quincy would eventually agree to the treaty for sake of keeping their clan alive and putting the bloodshed to a stop once and for all. Several years have passed since the initial signing of the treaty as time slowly slipped into the modern are where marvels such as automoibles and computers took residence in every household.
For years the agreement of the treaty has shakily been followed with shinigami from the sixth and tenth divisions being stationed in a Karakuratown; a bubbling populace in Japan that housed a majority of the Quincy race. These representitives were normally fitted with a Quincy partner to watch over and help out when the need arrised for the sole purpose of protecting the balance and sustaining order. Of course there had been those on both sides who aruged with and bluntly disregarded the treaty causing a few skermishes here and there yet nothing ever too large or too troublesome to handle And then it happened...
The incident could only be described by the surviving few as a brilliant macabre rainbow of blood that both was beautiful yet so horrifying that it knoted one's inards three times over. It had been a routine mission, a hollow had gotten too close to Karakuratown and with no shinigami insight a group of young Quincies had taken it upon themselves to execute the hollow before it did any damage. Barely out of their teens and still enjoying the springtime of their youth these novices barely fired a single arrow before having a blade mercilessly driven through their bodies. Only a vague description linked the murder to Soul Society with tear obscured eyes claiming to have seen a figure carrying a katana while dressed in a black kimono had slain the Novice Quincies. In the shadows the real culpirt hid, a beast whose home had been mere legends and fokelore for so many centuries. For now they remain hiding in the shadows allowing their presense to go unnoticed waiting for the oppertune time to strike and burry their fangs into those who have hunted their kind for so long... With ties shaking and decaying between Shinigami and Quincy it is only a matterof time before one sides snaps and rekindles the flame of war. Lost in a rain of blood and a wind of screams only the sane will realize that Paradise is Nowhere.
Paradise is Nowhere.
