Twirling the onyx-handled dagger in her hand, the wind whipped her long red hair about her body. She chose to let it out today, not having any business to attend as of yet. She took a few steps towards the alley’s entrance into the street, listening to the conversations float into the space between the buildings, her worn boots making virtually no sound as the made contact with the cracked pavement. She was rather fond of this alley, as it was vastly shadowed, both keeping her hidden from passersby and protecting her from the sun. With a brief sneer, she thought of how much she hated the sunlight, her thoughts going to the small vial that hung between her breasts. Shaking her head, she quickly composed herself, setting her full lips into their usual scowl as she stood just before the street. Though she made sure to still be in the shadows, she should be visible from the street, twirling her 4” blade in her hand.
She dressed as she usually did, her combat boots rising to her knees, the once-long, gauzy skirt sitting low on her hips cut so that the hem rose high on her thighs. The spandex shorts peaking beneath the black material today were silver in color, blocked off on one side by the sheath of her dagger. Her tight tank top was grey in color, with a large slash across her bust held together by variously sized safety pins, coming up just above her navel. She was not ashamed to show skin; as for her it was necessity in life. She had to be sure there was as little as possible obstructing her limbs from moving freely. Never know when a fight will arise. Her facial piercings flashed dully in the limited light. She particularly favored her anti-eyebrow piercings, them being the least common thing she had seen anywhere around.
She watched as a young woman in a particularly tight dress passed by without even glancing her way. She had to admit; the woman had a nice ass. Smirking briefly, she let out a low whistle after the lady in the dress before returning her attention to her dagger. As she began to flip the blade in the air, her tattoo on her forearm flashed every so often. Courage. The one thing that had kept her alive all of these years. Growing bored, she tossed her dagger high up in the air, watching it with a vague expression before catching it by the tip of its blade, then flipping it so that she held the handle. She turned the dagger over, the metal showing her the reflection of what was going on in the street before her. Giving it another flip, she sighed slightly and tucked the dagger back into its sheath high up on her right thigh.
Looking out into the street, she observed those walking by. Through her thick, black eyeliner, she saw her version of the world. People living in fear….that is all she saw. Following the same habits out of fear of change. People following a social script out of fear of judgment and resentment. Hell, people crossing to the other side of the street out of fear of her. And now…. People hiding their identities out of fear of Kira. Now that fear was a just one. They may think that with their names supposedly forgotten, they might be safe. Wrong. They should be afraid, because she will find them; their real identities, so that Kira can pass judgment on them, as is deserved.
She would do her best so that nobody would have to live without the closure as she did. She, whose name had been successfully forgotten, never to be known by the likes of them; they who live in such fear. And in fear they should be, of Kira, and now of her, [glow=red,2,300]Ketsueki.[/glow]

Wonder what Oana is up to…
Takitsu strolled by herself, walking aimlessly among the large crowd. She had gotten some free time, and since Takiyoshi was too busy to do anything, she had decided to take a walk around the city. Her black skirt fluttered slightly in the warm breeze, and the bunny ears on her jacket hood bobbed with each step. Her purse, containing her Death Note, softly thumped against her leg, giving her a soft reminder how of how much control she had over the lives of all those around her. She grinned; ever since the Death Note had fallen into her possession, Takitsu noticed that she had been smiling much more than before.
Takitsu leaned against the wall of one of the many buildings, reaching into her bag for some candy. Her fingers brushed deliberately against the rough cover of her Death Note. Takitsu grinned again, before pulling out a box of strawberry pocky. Popping a stick into her mouth, she fiddled with the box as she thought. I wonder if Oana likes pocky… wander if she likes candy at all Takitsu made a mental note to ask her Shinigami of her likes and dislikes, it could help keep her alive in the future.
Takitsu followed a woman with her eyes, scowling at her. The dress she was wearing looked so tight, it must have been painful. Hm… she doesn’t seem worth killing Takitsu thought, as the woman turned into nothing more than a colored dot among the rest of the people. At the sound of a whistle, Takitsu raised an eyebrow, pulling away from the wall to peer into the alleyway beside her. A woman was in it, she looked a little older than herself. Akae? Hmmmm....
The woman seemed to dress in a similar fashion as Oana, not that Takitsu minded. She was used to Oana’s creepy looks by now, and had actually come to prefer Oana’s looks to those of the humans around her. Takitsu thought that the Shinigami looked more interesting. And so, she had taken a liking to this stranger. Takitsu watched as she flipped a dagger in the air, before catching it by the very tip. Takitsu smiled in awe; talking to the woman would give her boring day a bit of a spark. The woman started to turn around, and Takitsu waved, grinning a little. She started to walk into the alleyway, taking only a few steps inside before stopping. If the stranger had a problem with her, Takitsu would leave. If not, I’d like to talk to her, Takitsu thought. I’m tired of being bored.
(( I actually got it right! I think.... ))

[Yup Yup, all fixed ^.^] Just as Ketsueki was about to turn back into her chosen alley, she noticed a girl about her age send her a small… wave?!? Was she mad? Ketsueki shifted her gaze side to side, just to be sure it was her that the girl was waving at, yet still keeping an indifferent expression. “I guess I struck her fancy…” As the young woman walked towards her, Ket did a quick once-over, taking in her rather loli-esque clothing, smirking a bit at the rabbit ears. “Cute…” Surprisingly, she meant that in a kind way. She had a fondness for animals, mostly for cats, but that didn’t exclude other furry things. She still had to wonder exactly why this girl seemed to actually want to have some sort of contact with her. Most people tended to avoid Ket. She mentally shrugged. Hey, what’s wrong with having a little human contact every once in a while…that was of a friendly nature. Assuming that was what this was.
Vaguely she noted the grin on the girl’s face. Yeah, this was probably friendly.
As the young woman stopped, Ket assumed she was waiting for a sign that it was alright if she approach her. Figuring it couldn’t hurt to talk with the girl for a while, she took a couple of step back into the alley, then leaned against the brick wall, indicating she would be here for a while. Looking the stranger in the eyes, Ket sent her a slight nod. “No, I wont impale you with the dagger you obviously saw me playing with. Yes you may approach safely…” Yeah…Ket wasn’t one for friendly speech. Good thing she was only thinking to herself…heh
Idly thinking to herself as she waited for the girl to walk over, Ket figured this girl to be nothing spectacular, but also not bad looking. At least, she isn’t the type Ket would normally send catcalls after. Normally she preferred brighter hair colors, such as blond or red, or hell, even an unnatural color. Though she had to admit, the hair color and style suited this girl. Ket also had to admit that she liked the girl’s eyes, the bits of green complementing the brown hues. She actually smiled a bit, a rare show of ‘normal’ emotion.
Perhaps this girl will prove to be some quality company…

Takitsu smiled again, making her way over to the brick wall Akae was leaning on. Silently, Takitsu made a note not to upset this woman; that dagger of hers looked sharp. But, She reminded herself, thinking of the notebook in her purse. I shouldn’t worry, because I have something even deadlier Just in case, Takitsu started going through her mental list of ways to kill; as usual, she refused to use a heart attack, even for a seemingly small kill like this. Kira would never take credit for her kills.
Takitsu raised an eyebrow; even Akae’s smile held a slight resemblance to Oana’s. She wondered if the woman’s personality was anything like her shinigami’s. Takitsu wondered if Akae and Oana would get along at all, if she let Akae touch her Death Note. Of course, Takitsu wouldn’t dare bring out the black notebook while around anyone, unless she came to absolutely trust them. She hadn’t found anyone to show it to yet, not even Takiyoshi, though the thought to show him had come across before.
Takiyoshi Takitsu thought of the time Kira had saved him.. and nearly killed him. With the Death Note, I’ll make sure no one will ever hurt you again
Shifting her purse strap to the other shoulder, Takitsu looked the woman over once more, and then looked up again at her name and life span. She might seem scary to some others, but Takitsu liked the aura Akae gave off. Takitsu wondered whose side she was on; L’s, or Kira’s. Or maybe Akae was like her; on no one’s side, except her own. Neutral. If that was the case, Takitsu was curious as to what her reason was. Maybe Kira had hurt one of her family members, maybe she thought L was a show off. Or maybe Akae really didn’t care about the Kira case. Takitsu knew a few people like that from school; whenever Kira was brought up, they said they didn’t care, or changed the subject. A couple of them even ignored it, which Takitsu found strange. How could a person ignore something like Kira?
Takitsu realized she had gotten lost in her thoughts, and knew that she wouldn’t find out anything about Akae until she started talking. Smiling, she said what she had been thinking for the past few minutes.
“You remind me of someone.”

Though the look on her face was but a scowl, Ketsueki thought of how odd it was that this girl had walked over to her, and then simply stood as if lost in her thoughts. No, not odd… She was a thinker, that’s all. Ket had to respect that, as when living on the streets as she did, one had to be a good thinker. She noted that the girl’s gaze seemed to flash to just above her head for a second. Normally she would pass it off as nervousness, as that was not uncommon. She herself may not be scary, but flashing her daggers about has been known to frighten a few people off. But this seemed different. The girl did not seem nervous at all, in fact, she seemed rather interested in Ket.
Another thing she noticed was that the girl seemed to be rather protective of her bag, shifting its position. Ket was used to picking part how people acted, as it was what had kept her alive for the past five years. She had to wonder what might be in that bag of hers, but mentally shrugged. It wasn’t her business as long as it wasn’t going to hurt her in any way.
“You remind me of someone.”
Hearing this made Ket smile a bit, something she rarely did…unless a cute woman was involved…heh. And she had to admit, this girl may not be what most thought of as ‘hot’ or whatever, but she was attractive in her own way. Ket liked that about her. Feeling her thoughts take an unnecessary turn, she brought herself back to the situation at hand. Reminded her of someone, eh?
The slight smile still touching her lips, she spoke in a soft, deep tone. “And just who would that be, cutie.” Okay, the last part wasn’t necessary either, but who said she couldn’t have some fun?

C-Cutie?!
Takitsu felt herself blush. She had never thought of herself as cute, as she had never paid much attention to the way she looked. Appearances were never that important to her. And besides, the only people who had said anything about her looks were Takiyoshi and, on occasion, her parents, but that was only when she tried out a new hairstyle. But cute? She hadn’t heard that one before.
What should I say? Takitsu thought, clearing her throat in an attempt to clear the pink from her cheeks. Oh, my shinigami. She dropped a demonic notebook, and I picked it up, so now I can kill anyone just by knowing their name and face. And, I made this deal, so now I have her eyes. I can see anyone’s real name and life span, so it just makes the death note easier to use, and all it cost me was half of my remaining life. So don’t make me mad, or I might kill you in some kind of horrible accident, kay? Yes, that would explain everything. Not.
… Ok, yes, it would cover just about everything, but no way was Takitsu going to say it. And besides, she had decided to kill only criminals, even if made her sound like Kira. This meant she had to find an excuse, and a good one.
“One of my friends. She used to dress like you do.” A good enough excuse, right? If she could keep a straight face, Akae would probably buy it. After all, those years of being a class clown with Takiyoshi had made her into an excellent fibber. She hadn’t had to bend the truth in a while, so hopefully her talents hadn’t rusted.

Seeing the blush bloom across the girl’s face gave Ket a sense of accomplishment. Her smile broadened as she realized just how much she seemed to enjoy flustering this girl. “But why was that? Why was she so special?” Ket mentally shrugged. Who cares, she was cute and flustered, making her all the more interesting…. and adorable.
Perhaps the slight fluster could account for her hesitation in delivering her response, but seeing as this girl had a general sense of suspicion about her, not to mention the ever so slight change in her tone and expression, Ket doubted that. Though she did not seem to be a threat, so Ket let it slide, without going completely off her guard. Her ability to analyze people is very literally her life, and she got a sense of overall good intention from this girl, despite growing feelings of some kind of deceit.
“Is that so…” She spoke causally, her deep voice slipping from her lips almost like silk from an outstretched hand. “I notice, my dear, that you use the past tense…” She let her sentence hang in the air between them for a moment before standing erect and taking a slow, almost calculated step towards her new companion.
A single corner of her mouth raised, a flash of teeth showing as she leaned back against the wall, though slightly forward, lessening the space between her and the girl. Crossing her arms against her chest, she thought of how this young woman was rather intriguing, at least to Ket. There was just something about her that she liked, though totally not her usual type.
“Hmmm….”
“So may I be so bold as to ask the name of the adorable creature before me?” Her lazily, almost seductively spoken words were accompanied by a soft wink. Inside her mind asked “Where the hell did that come from?!”, but she ignored it, planning on indulging in an actual attraction rather than the short-lived, emotionless affairs she was so used to having. But that voice inside so rudely reminded Ket of why she never got close to someone…why she feared to experience any form of love again. But a stronger voice, coming from somewhere hidden, told her that she couldn’t run forever.

Crap…
Almost, but not quite. The little white lie hadn’t been enough. That’s ok, I can still handle this Takitsu told herself. And she could, it was just that Akae seemed to have fun making Takitsu blush. Being flustered like this, Takitsu found a bit difficult to think properly. Why am I blushing because of a girl, anyway? Takitsu had no problem with lesbians, or gay men. But she had never had another girl flirt with her. Though, she had to admit, Akae’s lines were a lot better than the ones that guys sometimes tried. “Someone call Heaven, there’s an angel missing!” or, “Do you have a map? I keep getting lost in your eyes.” Pfft, talk about total cheese. She had heard Takiyoshi’s friends use these on girls, and she had barely been able to keep her giggles down.
But what do I say now? Takitsu thought quick, trying to find an answer.
“Yes… but I don’t talk to her anymore. She moved.” Too cliché? Takitsu wondered. It probably is, but nothing I can do now. Crap… Apparently, Takitsu’s fibbing talents needed some work.
Adorable?Takitsu felt the pink on her cheeks deepen. Hmmm… I could say Takitsu, but then, if she’s in alliance with Kira, she’d give him my name. If I say Sasame, I’d be safe, but what if she knows that few people give away their real name so easily? Takitsu was probably over analyzing this, but better suspicious than dead, right? If I say it slowly… hesitantly… that’ll be good enough.
“I’m… I’m Sasame,” Takitsu said slowly, adding a nervous tone to her voice for good measure.
Akae’s not that bad looking, either… Wait a sec... WHAT? Takitsu blushed again. Akae seemed to be screwing with her mind without even realizing it.

[ooc:: yeah my mind kind of ran off with this post xD]
“Moved, eh? Why do I doubt that?” Mentally shrugging, Ket figured if she played her cards right with this girl, she could find out what she wanted. If she wanted that is. But the question was, did she want to? For some reason, Ket felt herself wanting to know much more about this girl. “Hmm….” All she knew was that she was attracted to this girl in a more genuine way than she was to most of the other girls or guys she hooked up with. Then again, just hooking with her just didn’t seem like it would be all that fulfilling to Ket. The brief thought both surprised and confused her… “Your friend moved? How unfortunate. Though I would not know of such things. I do not…have many friends.” Thinking about it, she really didn’t have any friends, though she simply gave a mental shrug. Oh well.
Seeing the deepening color in the girl’s face made Ket forger her previous thoughts and grin. Apparently this girl was not used to being called adorable and the like. Hm, surprising… But even her flustered state wouldn’t really explain the amount of hesitation in the girl’s response. After all, it was just her name. Unless she wasn’t being truthful. As if she hadn’t thought of that the instant she said her ‘name’. But again, Ket didn’t think this girl was a threat. She didn’t seem like the type of girl she needed to be wary of, despite the fact that she was obviously hiding something.
“Sasame…” Ket let the name slip from her lips slowly, almost drawling it out. On a rather bold impulse, Ket removed an arm from its crossed position and raised her slender hand up towards “Sasame’s” cheek. “What a beautiful name. It suits you well, my dear.” Her words were soft, as was the caress she laid against Sasame’s cheek. Her previous grin shifted to a rather seductive smile as she leaned slightly closer to her companion. The pale skin of her face was so smooth, almost begging Ket to explore its contours further.
The thought shocked Ket ever so slightly, but rather than pulling her hand back as was her first instinct, she let it remain against Sasame’s skin. Her touch may have been soft, but the look in Ket’s eyes was anything but. There was just something about this girl that enthralled Ket; it was unexplainable. The idea of anyone else touching her, in a good or bad way, sparked a bit of anger within Ket…which was extremely odd and a bit uncalled for to her... Yet another ‘Oh Well’ for her. Ket went with her gut-feelings, and right now her gut told her she wanted Sasame.
Keeping her gaze linked with Sasame's, Ket realized she had yet to introduce herself. "How rude of me. I seem to have forgotten to give my own name." She chuckled slightly. "Though in the presence of one as attractive as yourself, it is easy to lose one's thoughts." She reluctantly removed her hand from the girl's face and gave a slight bow. "I am Ketsueki. But please, call me Ket." She knew that her name usually piqued the interest of others, as it was not a usual name. In fact, being the translation for 'blood', it was not a traditional name at all. Questions usually arose, and she always gave the same answer.
Almost absently, Ket began to bring her hand back up to Sasame's face as she stood erect once again, but stopped herself halfway. What was she doing? This girl must think her to be mad, and for some reason, Ket wanted this girl to think well of her. Clearing her throat, she spoke in her usual deep tone. "I...I apologize. It was most improper for me to take such a liberty with you." She smiled, nodding to indicate her hand, which she brought to her side. "If you would forgive." She nodded her head in a bow of apology, awaiting Sasame's response. [/center]

( oh god mine is going to be so short compared to these two doozies...)
Oana had been floating around wherever Takitsu decided to walk, coming to the conclusion that today was a day where she could be seen nor heard. Though because of the rules that the old man gave her about possessing someone, she always had to be in her sights, so that way when she died the little shinigami could retrieve her deathnote. It wasn’t a fun rule, but rules were rules and if there was one older shinigami she didn’t like making angry, it was the shinigami king. She was reckless, but not completely insane.
So when Taki turned the corner into an alleyway, Oana tipped her head to the side with childish curiosity. She floated alongside her into the alleyway. Munching on the grapes she had been given earlier. With a silent flap of her wings, she floated up to the top of a low building and looked down at the conversation she was having with the girl. In between a couple of grapes, she came to the conclusion that this was probably just another kill taki was going to make. Oana didn’t care, she was being entertained well so there was no conflict.
But it interested the little shinigami to see that there was no conflict at all, though the girl looked a bit threatening for a human. They seemed to be a lot closer to one another then she had half expected. Oana thought, she had seen and heard that kind of thing from a male human to a female human, but never amongst female humans. Oana was a bit curious humans are such odd creatures
Through to her better nature, the little shinigami decided to go closer. She jumped off of the building, her wings extended to slow it down, and she landed behind the girl, in front of Taki, she introduced her prescence with a giggle.
“ having fun Taki?”

((I know it’s rushed, but I need to leave soon))
“No friends? But… don’t you get lonely?” Takitsu asked, tilting her head to the side. She had a few friends, but she was usually around Takiyoshi. Well, when his girlfriend didn’t drag him away, that is. Takiyoshi needs a new girlfriend… Hoshi’s way too demanding Takitsu briefly thought of killing Hoshi, but that thought left as soon as it came. I only kill criminals… I only kill those who could hurt Takiyoshi Oh well. Maybe Hoshi would steal something. Heh…
She’s onto me… I’ve let too much slip… Crap… Takitsu wondered. If this keeps going on… will I have to kill her? Takitsu didn’t like the idea, but if that’s what it took to keep her secret, she’d need to do it. No, I just need to be careful from now on. She hasn’t figured out what’s in my bag; how could she?
Huh? Takitsu thought, feeling Akae’s hand on her cheek. She flinched a little, not quite used to this sort of touch, much less from another girl. Suits me well… It’s not even my real name… Not that Akae is aware of that. Guess I’m just good at picking aliases Takitsu blinked, blushing a little; Akae’s smile had changed, going from a smirk to a seductive smile. Takitsu felt a little uncomfortable; not only did she have Akae’s attention, but Oana had decided to make her appearance.
Nnngh… Shut up, Oana Takitsu, of course, couldn’t speak to her shinigami; Akae was much too close. Akae, however, broke the silence. Ketsueki? But then… Akae… An alias, of course But what was her reason? Takitsu couldn’t help but wonder. Of course, she couldn’t ask without rising more suspicion, so she let it go… for now.
Takitsu smiled a little. “Ketsueki, it means ‘blood’, doesn’t it?” An interesting name…
Takitsu became a little confused when Ket’s hand stopped halfway, as if going to her cheek once more. Apology? What for? It was true that Takitsu had felt uncomfortable, but she hadn’t hated it…
“Apology accepted. Though, I don’t see why you needed to apologize…” Takitsu trailed off, blushing. She stared at the ground and started to fidget with the hem of her skirt.

[eh mine is pretty rushed as well. Oh and just to let you know, Ket does support Kira obviously, but if she were to meet someone with similar powers as Kira, she would equally respect them, not like, rat them out to the real Kira. lol.]
She girl’s question struck her for a moment. Lonely? She looked to Sasame in a rather fond manner, appreciative that she had asked such a small question. “Loneliness is but a state of mind, my dear. But I do guess that it would be nice to have someone around sometimes.” As she spoke, her gaze never left Sasame’s, a deliberate stare that even Ket was not aware she was sending. What would it be like to have someone like that, a friend? “What would it be like to have little ‘Sasame’ around?” She smiled at the thought. She figured it would be pretty nice so see her adorable face again after their little meeting here. In fact, she felt herself not wanting this little confrontation to be over any time soon…How odd for her. Normally she took part in as little human contact as possible.
She noticed a slight change in the girl’s expression, almost as if she were distraught. Frowning slightly, Ket looked to Sasame. “Is there something the matter hun? You seem a bit distracted.” Just what was running through that pretty little head of hers? More secrets probably, though Ket could respect that. She herself had a fare share of secrets, though they were only secrets because nobody had done such a simple thing as asking her about herself…Not that she would know what to say, but still.
Her slight flinch had only made her smile more as it told her that Sasame was not accustomed to being touched either. Though she had to admit, if she hung around Ket any longer she would probably have to get used to it. But again there was a change in the girl. Was something the matter? Normally Ketsueki would have immediately ask, but she felt the need to leave the girl some privacy, which was extremely unusual. Ignoring her inner voice insisting that she pursue this girl's obvious deceit, Ket gave another soft smile.
“Yes, that is its meaning. And, yes to an obvious inquiry, it is not my ‘real’ name.” Normally she would have stopped there, but she felt the need to be truthful, as if she desired this girl to trust her a bit. “With a new life comes a new identity for me.” She let that statement hang between them. If the girl asked more, she would tell, if not, then oh well. Really, she had nothing that need be hidden…
Hearing her last words, Ket looked into the girl’s eyes and grinned almost seductively. “If it needn’t be required, then would I assume it to be okay if I did this…” She brought her hand back up to “Sasame’s” face, cupping the girl’s cheek in her hand, idly stroking her thumb over her smooth flesh. “You have such soft skin, my dear.” She tipped her head slightly towards Sasame’s, but still leaving a few inches between them.

What in the world are they doing?
Though her entrance had been very extravagant, when she hit the ground her moves suddenly became light and delicate, graceful even. The speckled grey gossamer wings proceeded to fold themselves into their rightful place on her tiny back and the tiny black leathery bat wings in the mass of hair began to flap silently.
Oana tipped her head to the side at her wielders reaction, like she didn’t want here to be there while she talked so closely to the girl. Oana’s hands tapped her deathnote. Should she hit the girl with it so she could see her too, her eyes went down to the knife and she chuckled, the girl could do nothing to the little shinigami, what was she going to do about her kill her?
She floated alongside the two of them, looking from Taki to her new friend, “ Is she a friend Taki?” she circled them, “ or a mate?” she looked closer at the girls appearance, “ she is very pretty Taki she must be a mate.”

Takitsu didn’t really hang around anyone, either, except her brother. She started to wonder what it’d be like to see Ket more often. As long as mom and dad don’t find out Takitsu giggled a little, imagining her parents’ reaction the Ket’s appearance. Parents could be so narrow minded sometimes; it wasn’t like Ket had hurt her or anything.
“Hm? Oh, no. It’s nothing,” Takitsu smiled. Nothing, as long as you can’t see what’s behind you What would Ket say, or do, if she saw Oana? Takitsu played with her purse strap uneasily. If Ket found out about the Death Note, would I have to kill her? Takitsu didn’t like the idea very much. She didn’t want to kill anyone but criminals, but if that’s what it took to keep her secret... It depends on her reaction she assured herself. There wasn’t any use in worrying about it now. Worrying would only make Ket more suspicious. If she was too suspicious, there was a better chance she would find out about the Death Note.
I wonder, if I were to stay around Ket, would she always touch me like this? Or is it just because we’re in private? Come to think of it, how often did Ket walk around like everyone else? Takitsu couldn’t really see her as a normal passerby, she’d stick out too much. Not like it was a bad thing, but Ket seemed to be the type that preferred to stay hidden.
Takitsu couldn’t say ‘I know it’s not your real name’ since not everyone had the Eyes. Instead, she gave a small nod. A new life? Takitsu couldn’t help but wonder how many other ‘lives’ Ket had had. How many times has she changed her name, I wonder? Takitsu decided not to ask. If Ket wanted her to know, she’d tell.
Takitsu shivered a little. Not because of Ket’s touch; she was starting to get used to it. Ket’s hand had come dangerously close to her purse strap. She knew that simply touching the purse strap wouldn’t allow her to see Oana, but it still set her on edge.
Oana...
No, she is not a mate, Oana! I just met her... Seriously... Oana was starting to get on her nerves....

[It isn’t all that short. Oh and sorry if I took my post a bit too far with the whole notebook thing. I was on auto-pilot when I typed this heh]
She tilted her head to the side a bit. “Hmm, you seem to be the first to hear that phrase and not be interested.” She chuckled. Seeing the slight question in the girl’s eyes, Ket also saw another obvious inquiry one would have. “Though this is my only life now. Has been for years…” She looked into ‘Sasame’s’ eyes then, a slight bit of sorrow glinting in Ket’s eyes at the painful memories of her past.
She shook her head, pushing the sadness away. This was not the time nor place for such things to come up. Her seductive smile then returned, and misinterpreting the girl’s little shiver, Ket chuckled and placed her hands atop ‘Sasame’s’ shoulders. “Why my dear, you seem so tense.” She stepped so that she was toe-to-toe with her companion, putting a bit of pressure on ‘Sasame’s’ shoulders. Ket made a motion to slide her hands down her arms, but unintentionally caused the bag perched on her shoulder to drop to the floor, opening and spilling its contents across the cold pavement.
Gasping, Ket immediately bent to help gather the scattered items. “I am so sorry, Sasame, let me-” Her sentence was cut short as a black notebook among a bunch of candy caught her eye. “Death Note…” Here eyes grew slightly wider at the sight of the book. Though curious, it was odd that she felt the absolute need to touch it. And even odder for Ket, she did in fact reach out for the book, briefly running her fingers over the black cover, though quickly retracting her hand. “Sorry… uhm.” She gazed up at ‘Sasame’, deep curiosity in Ket’s eyes, though there was no judgment there. Though her little discovery would seem odd to normal people, Ket wasn’t exactly normal, and was mostly just looking for an explanation. She stay crouched near the ground, her gaze shifting between the labeled Death Note and ‘Sasame’.
As she spoke, she stuttered a bit, which was completely out of character for her. She was just…confused. “A, uhm, Death Note? Sounds…In-” She cleared her throat. “Interesting… Sasame.” She gave a smile that she hopes sent a message of non-judgment and acceptance of whatever the explanation was. Ket could sense that there was something about ‘Sasame’ that was completely different than others, and felt that she may have found the reason for the girl’s deceit.
