As Oana floated around the two young ladies, circling them with playful ease, her wings only made a soft flapping sound that could not be heard despite the noise she knew they made. She had to wonder why the noise was at a minimum for her at the moment. I mean...The only one who could see me is Taki and she is used to it. she thought tipping her head to the side, her mind floated back to the me-re-yo....ma-rry-yo...well the puppet show she saw earlier. It fascinated her to know that people liked to control human's actions like she did. During war time they said it was...Slavery....but when the other boys did it was called work....And the humans in the puppet show were not real...so it was entertainment. She looked down at taki who was giving her an annoyed look. Maybe she could ask taki to get her a puppet like that....that would be a lot of fun!
She suddenly stopped the rotations right in the middle of them and watched the bag fall with the candy, a pen, a pencil, and most importantly the Deathnote that Oana had bestowed upon Takitsu. Her lips curled deiously; hopefully Takitsu already knew that the minute the girl even brushed against the DeathNote, Oana would be seen by her, by the both of them. She would warn Taki but the girl had already put a hand on it. Oana squealed in delight and her bat wings buzzed happily before lifting her a bit higher so at least she would seem a foot over the girl.
Oana tipped her head tothe side, her raven hair falling around her face as she smiled, " You humans are funny, you can condemn stabbing a man in the heart with a knife or shooting him with a gun yet when presented with my little "diary..." you all get so confused." She said this all casually, and not to Taki, but to the girl. She looked at the grl, and her smile grew wider, " Hi there." came the little shinigami's croon, similar to the way she talked to taki when they had first met.

Takitsu frowned a little. “Would you like me to be interested?” she asked, a little confused. “Ah. Do you like this new life? Do you regret leaving your old one behind?” Takitsu blushed lightly, covering her mouth with her hand. “I’m sorry. Please don’t answer my questions, unless you want to.” So talkative, and over things so personal. I shouldn’t be asking so many questions. Takitsu silently scolded herself. Though, I really am curious about her. Takitsu promised herself that she would learn more about Ket, though she would do it in moderation.
Sh*t...!
Takitsu rarely swore, even in her thoughts, though she felt she could excuse herself this one time; her purse had fallen from her shoulder, and everything had fallen out. Candy, hair ties, lip gloss, and even her cell phone clattered to the ground, though these were the least of her worries. “No!” With a short gasp, Takitsu fell to her knees, swiping for her black notebook. To her horror, Ket reached the Death Note before she did, gently brushing the cover with her finger tips. Takitsu opened her mouth, trying to form words, but in her panic, nothing came out. Instead, she reached out once more and swiped the Death Note, sending a chocolate bar and several lollipops flying.
Takitsu stood shakily, clutching the black notebook to her chest. Biting her tongue, she attempted to straighten her jumbled up thoughts.
Oh yes, just what I need, someone found my Death Note
Crap! Ket touched it!
Wonder if I could pull this off as a joke...
Should I... do I have to kill her now?
Takitsu’s eye went a little wide. If Ket started talking about this, Takitsu knew she would have to write her new friend’s name down. Crap, what do I do?! Takitsu bit her tongue once more, before looking once more at Ket’s real name. If she wanted to, Takitsu could kill her right now. All it would take was a turn of a page, and...
Takitsu gulped. The pressure of the Death Note had finally started to sink in on her. How easily she could kill someone, how very simple it was for her to take away someone’s life. And how it affected others. But this is an innocent person... as far as I know. Ket’s done nothing to deserve death. All of the others have been criminals Takitsu reminded herself, taking a deep breath. As long as I handle this properly, Ket won’t have to be killed. But I should probably tell her that I could kill her if I need to. Somehow, this seemed fair, at least to Takitsu.
Takitsu turned her attention to Oana, who had addressed Ket, hovering about a foot above her friend. Of course, her Shinigami would use this opportunity to freak out Ket, if the Death Note hadn’t done that already. Although she felt bad for Ket, Takitsu couldn’t help but grin a little, before straightening and putting on a serious face. Taking a deep breath, Takitsu looked directly at Ket, before speaking up. “Ket, you’ve probably figured this out already, but this a notebook of Death. The girl behind you is Oana, my shinigami. If you tell anyone about this, I’ll have to kill you, Akae.”

Ket watched as her friend grabbed the “Death Note” and clutched it to her chest. Her body seemed to be trembling, her eyes serious yet nervous-like, as if she were in thought. She seemed to tense up for a moment, before breathing deeply.
Confused as what to do here, Ket stay crouched near the ground. She would have assumed this was a sort of joke; a small novelty item from someone who watched a bit too much anime or something. But the way “Sasame” reacted told Ket it was something more. And with this new occurrence, she could bet that Sasame wasn’t this girl’s name…
Opening her mouth to cautiously speak to her nervous friend, Ket noticed her looking above her head just as an odd noise that could only be described as a squeal sounded in Ket’s ears. Turning her head instinctively to locate the source of the noise, only to see nothing behind her. Having grown used to living in danger, Ket balanced her stance on the ground, a hand reaching towards the dagger strapped to her thigh. Before she even had the chance to search, she heard a voice speaking from… above her? Looking up, Ket let out an involuntary gasp before springing back slightly, dagger in hand.
She had seen a lot of things since coming into the city, but this was completely out of her understanding. What looked like a girl with long bangs hovered in the air, with….wings adorning her back. Her face reverted to her usual stoical expression, the situation gone from playful to serious. The slight moment of hesitation before Ket threw her blade with deadly accuracy was extremely uncharacteristic, but one would think it would be expected in such a situation. Though, as the dagger flew through the air towards the floating girl’s chest, she somehow doubted it would have any effect.
She had been aware of her friend’s voice, but it wasn’t until the final two syllables were uttered did she Ket turn her back to the strange creature. Her brows first rose in surprise, then furrowed together in frustration and confusion. “Akae…” What are the odds…. No… Ket shook her head as if to clear it. Her name was Ketsueki… Nobody knew that name. Nobody! “Did you just call me…Akae?” She took a step towards the girl before her, feeling the panic and sorrow from her previous years rise up from their long suppressed sleep. Though she registered her other words, Ket was most concerned with this buried piece of history at the moment.
“But…. No… My name is K-Ketsueki…” Her voice sounded so frail that it made her flinch. So many years of building up her composure, only to lose it over a single word. How could she possibly know?! Some how she was not surprised at this. A Shinigami? God of Death… Notebook of Death? Closing her eyes for a moment, Ket fought to regain her composure, though only managing a confused and slightly hurt expression.
“Kill me? With what? That notebook?…” Then suddenly understanding brightened in her eyes. Shinigami…Wasn’t there something about showing Shinigami in message from Kira some time back? “Wait… A Shinigami…” She looked back to the floating girl, then back to her companion. “Could it be?” Her words were spoken mostly to herself then, but they were still audible within the close walls of the alleyway.

Oana knew that her appearence was going to be the cause of an instense and overall frightened sort of reaction on the girl's part, but it had been a long time since anyone had actually tried attacking her with any human made objects. Before 0ana could even straighten herself back up again, she saw the ptetty dagger get flung straight to where her heart should have been. With a slow calm reaction the little shinigami looked down to where the dagger's gemmed handle portruded and cackled, her ruby-lipped grin gangly and devious, but still showing a hint of childlike enjoyment of the whole situation. She looked down at it and it quivered, then projected itself into the wall behind her, right through her tiny body. Oana laughed again and looked back at the slightly startled but now stoic new girl.
" You humans are all so...jumpy!" She cheered and raised herself about an inch or two higher. " Do you know Taki it has been years since anyone has tried to kill me? Haha what fun!" She turned to the girl," I was a mob bosses shinigami once, scary looking guy, old as dirt too, maybe seventies. That guy took one look at me and pulled out his tommy gun, fired about four hundred rounds right through me, it really dissapointed me too, ruined a pretty portrait of him and his mother that was up behind me. When he realized he could not kill me it scared him senseless!" She smiled pensively, "haha good times." She looked down to Takitsu, " yeah now you see why you need to be careful, just because that is their name does not exactly mean it is what they are called...ah well, I guess you got off with me on the wrong foot miss akae...yes my name is Oana, and yes, she will kill you with that notebook if you decide to be hasty. I might too if you cause me too much trouble by going around telling everyone...no one may believe you, but you never know." In midair, Oana crossed her legs and flipped upside down, the bangs not moving and the bat wings on her head buzzing quickly before she allowed them to flap slowly,
"So Taki, Akae, what are your next moves?"

Takitsu put a tighter grip on the Death Note, turning her body a little, as if she expected Ket to run over and steal it from her. Takitsu didn’t think her friend would steal the notebook from her, but Takitsu felt she couldn’t be too careful. She glanced down at the Death Note, and smiled a little. If it hadn’t had Death Note across the top of the cover, it could’ve passed off as a normal notebook, unless everyone else got the same creepy feeling that she had had when she first picked it up. Her smile faded, and Takitsu turned back to Ket, giving her friend a serious look, that might have come off a little more hostile than Takitsu had intended.
Takitsu’s stare went from Ket to Oana, watching Ket look for Oana, raising an eyebrow as her friend grabbed for her dagger. Is she serious? I guess Ket doesn’t know that you can’t kill a Shinigami Takitsu thought, giving a small, quiet giggle as Ket threw her dagger at Oana, probably aiming to stab her heart. That is, if Oana even had a heart. Takitsu thought about that for a few seconds, before shaking her head a bit and coming back to reality.
As serious as the situation was, Takitsu couldn’t help but find it amusing; Ket was acting quite a bit like she herself had when she first met Oana, only, Takitsu hadn’t attacked her. She had been too scared to make a move. Now, Takitsu thought she had acted like a complete idiot, just standing there. But then again, Takitsu hadn’t known that Oana wasn’t going to kill her. It had been quite the contrary; instead, Oana had given Takitsu the ability to kill, and had traded Eyes with Takitsu, which only made the Death Note easier to use.
Takitsu blinked, shaking her head a bit to come out of her memories. There would be time to look back later; right now, she needed to focus on Ket, and what to do to keep her friend’s mouth shut and keep her alive.
Speaking of Ket...
Takitsu hadn’t expected Ket to react in such a way; her friend had seemed to go slightly insane. It was strange; Takitsu would never have been able to picture Ket losing her cool. Was it because Takitsu knew her real name? Takitsu had gotten so used to seeing names and lifespans; she had almost forgotten that not everyone had the ability. Would anyone act this way? Takitsu wondered, before remembering that Ket had had a few different lives, and she had probably done all she could to keep her old names hidden. This made Ket’s reactions seem more reasonable to Takitsu.
She looked up once her Shinigami started speaking. So this isn’t the first time... Wonder who else tried to Takitsu wondered, before looking back at Oana. Mob boss? Takitsu raised an eyebrow. Just how many others have had this notebook? How many of them have decided to use it? She decided to ask Oana after everything calmed down, though she wondered if she’d get an answer. She watched Oana turn upside down, noticing how odd her bangs looked, staying in place. Though, Takitsu thought it suited Oana somehow. “My next move...?” Takitsu asked, partly to herself, partly to answer Oana’s question. “It depends on Ket,” she decided quietly.
Takitsu looked back at Ket, seeing that she had made her ‘move’ already. She nodded at her friend’s question. “It’s your name, isn’t it? Your real name... Your birth name?” Takitsu answered, a blank expression on her face. Takitsu took a step back after Ket took a step forward, her boot stepping on something, though she pulled away, her curiosity causing her eyes to flicker to the ground. Moving slightly, she smiled a little; she had nearly stepped on a pen. She picked it up, flipping to a half full page in her Death Note. Balancing the notebook in one hand, she uncapped the pen using her teeth, and let the pen’s point lightly rest on the page. She had started to think of a way to kill Ket, just in case, before she heard her friend speak up. “Could it be...?”.... What? Takitsu wondered, scowling a little as her eyes turned to look back at Ket. Wait a sec... Takitsu went over what she believed Ket knew. Shinigami... Notebook of Death... I know her name...
Kira... she thinks I’m Kira
“I’m not Kira,” Takitsu answered, a bored tone wrapped in her voice. Her eyes went back to the book in front of her. If I really have to kill her, I want it to be something painless... or at least, as painless as I can think of. And I gotta make it interesting, so Oana’s entertained Takitsu thought, scowling.

Ket kept her attention fixed on Miss “Sasame”, though she was aware of the sound of her prized dagger projecting into the brick all. The seriousness of the situation dissipated just long enough for Ket to let out an aggravated sound and hunch her shoulders, a grimace sprawling across her face. “I just sharpened that…” Her daggers were her most beloved possessions, other than the vial that hung around her neck.
Straightening her posture once more, she fought to keep her composure. Managing to put her indifferent expression back into place, Ket ignored the shinigami, apparently named Oana, ass he rambled about some mob boss. Moving over to the side of the alleyway, she leaned against the cool brick wall, using it to anchor herself in the insanity of the moment. She couldn’t help but flinch as the floating girl said her ‘real’ name once more, but then something perked her interest. “Taki, eh?” Ket pushed her fear and all other emotion aside, just as she had for so many years, and analyzed the moment. “So I was correct in assuming ‘Sasame’ was an alias…” She kept her voice rather low, the deep tones echoing against the walls of the alley softly.
Yes, it was her birth name, but she noticed the girl referred to her as ‘Ket’ still when speaking to the shinigami. “Interesting…” Perhaps she had left an impression on her. It amazed her that in all of this, she could still think of her attraction to…. To this ‘Taki’. She shook her head a few times, clearing it of any such thoughts. She was now calm, and needed to remain as such.
She was unsurprised that the girl was following her thoughts of Kira. It was a rather obvious path. “No, you wouldn’t be, would you. Kira wouldn’t allow himself to be found out.” Sending a look towards Oana, she studied the shinigami’s features and behaviors carefully as she spoke to ‘Taki’. Ketsueki was not one who enjoyed not understanding something, and she intended to fix that problem soon. She continued to speak in her low, calculated tone, taking an odd comfort in the slight echo. “Doubtful he would carry his…. ‘Death Note’ around with him…” A satisfied smile appeared on her face briefly. “And you have given me an insight to Kira’s methods. So Kira uses a notebook like this as well. How odd…” Ket was off in her thoughts now. Kira was the only topic that was able to shake her completely off topic.
Glancing at Taki, Ket was slightly jolted when she realized what was in her hand… and what she was appearing to be about to do. If she really could kill with a notebook, which is about as plausible as the existence of shinigami (point given), she was in serious trouble.
This new, serious girl was an interesting contrast to the nervous, cute one from just moments before. Calming herself, Ket kept an easy tone. “It is a pleasure to meet someone with power such as Kira’s.” Ket hoped her appreciation of Kira would not be misinterpreted as something else. If this girl thought Ket was against Kira, or would even tell the real Kira there was one with his powers, she may just kill her. It was a pleasure to meet her. In fact, a small sense of admiration filled her, but Ket let it show only a little.
