Not Supposed to be alone.
The mall, and the newest cd! There is stood in all its glory glittering on the shelf and two selves over on the magazine rack a new issue staring Misa Misa’s new line of Lolita fashion accessories. She couldn’t wait to get her hands on them. Months spent on chores in order to earn just a few measly dollars to buy this cd. As soon as the store opened she was inside and holding her own cd. It was to much a blur to remember anything else like the crowd or line. She grabbed the magazine on the way to the check out and was out of the store in minutes.
Sayu let her mind focus on being the first to listen to the cd at least out of the fellow girls here. She found a bench and immediately pried open the plastic. She looked around noticing that everyone was probably doing the same. She picked up her head set and plugged it in popping the newly opened cd in place and pushing play. Her eyes brightened as the music began to flow and so she sat a long moment closing her eyes and indulging in the fast paced beat.
Over time she reached into her bag and pulled out the second bought item, and began to look through the pictures of everyone’s favorite model. It wasn’t until she put the magazine in the bag and went through the cd twice did she realize she was alone. Well of course she knew she was alone but she was in a mall of crowded people waiting for the mid afternoon release of the newest cd. But now noon had passed and it was just a small crowd left. She blinked and pouted thinking about going home.
Sayu wasn’t scared to be out on her own, her dad was the top investigator at the moment anyway. Her dad would probably get very mad if he found her alone like this. He seemed to be paranoid that she was with someone at all times, and of course Sayu understood why. But it was only made all the more clear. She always felt uneasy being alone. No, she simply hated being at the mall alone, because that meant she would be walking home. She watched as a couple walked in front of her and of course she sighed deciding it might be better to stay put until her mother called offering a ride home or something.
“Raito needs a girlfriend” she mumbled and turned to watch the couple continue their way down the mall. Sayu check her cell phone but it seemed her friends where also engrossed and she wouldn’t be receiving a text or call any time soon. Sayu continued to let her mind wander as she listened to the cd again waiting for the call to get picked up.
“I hate being alone…should have brought a friend or something” she mumbled now people watching.
