The Character Spotlight may showcase a member and their character for several reasons, be it due to member vote or simply the choice of the admin.
Members chosen to be showcased receive ten karma (lifespan) points and a spot on the main page in the welcome table until the admin deems fit to choose another.
They may be chosen for:
• Excellent canon portrayal
• Frequently assisting other members or providing helpful ideas to the admin in a respectful manner
• Posting frequently while meeting all requirements (grammar, spelling, word count)
• Being an active member in OOC discussions and notifying of possible inactivity due to a busy schedule or going away
• Having a well-developed Original Character which contributes to the plot development out of one's own creativity
• Notifying the staff of poorly-constructed threads and posts (lack of ability to follow the requirements in regards to grammar, spelling, and word count)
• Being an overall asset to the board, and someone members enjoying associating with
• Being voted on by members in a list of candidates
