At the beginning of time there was only Eight Gods.; Mortyr, Guan, Flied, Tova, Damen, Seron, Luna and Daiys. Each created portions of the world one step at a time. Flied created the earth and water—with hopes of something spectacular. Luna created the night and Guan created the Day. Seron brought peace to the world—Mortyr brought Chaos so that the peace could be appreciated. Tova brought law and rule over the world so that both Chaos and Peace had reason. Damen created animals to take care of the land for the gods—and Daiys unified it all to complete their creation. After creating this marvellous world they added people to live in it.
Flied pooled all her love to form a forest loving people; Elves.
Tova used her weakness to create a balanced creature; Humans
Guan used her happiness and joy to create fun loving creatures; Fae
As the others watched they felt new emotions toward their brethren. Mortyr and Seron felt awe and loved these people just like the three who created them. Daiys favoured them above her brethren—enjoying their company instead of the company of other Gods—but Damen, Daiys’ lover grew jealous. He had an angry argument with Daiys and in a fit of rage killed her. The other gods cursed him for the deed and deemed him fallen—but he was still a god. He attempted to create Humans and Elves for himself but both were corrupted by the other gods to form demons.
The demons further corrupted the world—but the humans were saved by their balance of light and darkness. Many Elves were corrupted and they formed a new people; Drow Elves.
With all of the nations formed the Gods realized that with Damen’s involvement their perfect creation had become tainted. They acknowledged that tampering with this new world should not be done—and they waited until the nations were ready to fix the problem. The nations would decide on the solution they needed—so the gods stepped away and waited.
The nations began warring but the Humans with their Balance and the Elves with their love formed a small alliance that later began an empire. One by one the nations joined until all seven were bonded together as an empire under one supreme ruler. All would be at peace if not for those who did not want that equality with the other nations. They pulled away from the empire and formed a nation of rebels, intent on destroying the empire.
This new ‘nation’ would separate and overtake all of the nations and form their own rule. They would be the rulers of this new world. Saddened by this the Gods sat to watch as the solution their people had devised would slowly begin to unravel…
