Kin sat watching the sun slowly dip past the horizon. It almost reminded him of how the world was leading its course. It seemed that the fall of justice was only growing as time slid by. Thankfully, there were still a few out there that viewed in the true form of justice. Sadly, this did not apply to many these days.
When the sun completely disappeared from the sky, Kin quickly rushed back to reality. He quickly turned back into the mansion he had rented for the night. It hadn't taken much work, but he was proud with what he had done to the place in a matter of hours. Not only had the highest level fashion been imp laced, but he had also brought some of the best fruit in the world, including the honored apple and cucumber. He hoped that would be enough to attract certain interests.
As he headed for the main ballroom, he quickly pulled out his mask and placed it on his face. He had chosen to host a masquerade to attract a larger crowd. For what would hold back anyone if no one else knew who you were. Of course, this only proved true for the participants of the event. Kin had already set up enough surveillance to make sure he would know who was and wasn't there.
He had sent invitations out to anyone that he even faintly found of interest as well as just to the general public. Of course, the general public meant anyone who wasn't directly invited but had the money to pay their way in. Either way, he was sure that he would draw a good crowd of interesting people to say the least. It nothing else he would at least have the chance to draw in some attention. Too bad that damn boy had thought his decoy had been lying about the party. He supposed that was just his problem.
As he finally entered the main ballroom, he took his seat at the far end of the room. In the short time of his absence, even more food had been imported into the ballroom. He supposed that it was no small security that he had placed a fair amount of certain foods outside. It would draw the most attention that way of certain death gods. Either way, he had a party to host. With that he waved to his guards to allow the participants of this fine party to be started to be admitted in.

As 21 waited for them to start letting people in, he stood there looking at the night sky. The stars were shining bright, but he wasn't sure if that would help him or not tonight. He'd have to wait to figure that out. He was standing quite far away from the mansion, but still close enough to see when they were going to let people in. Of 21 couldn't pay to get in, so he would do what he was good at. Sneaking in. He wasn't sure if he would succeed, but weather he did or not it would still be great fun. A lot better then sitting at the Wammy House, and writing. Not that he didn't enjoy writing, but it could get rather boring after awhile.
He looked at the doors again, they were finally letting people in. Of course he still had to wait for the right moment to strike. If he went to early he would be caught, but if he went to late he would also be caught. This the most entertaining thing he had done in awhile. It made his blood run, but after looking at the doors for awhile he looked up at the night sky again. It always amazed no matter how many times he looked at it.
Everyone was wearing fancy clothes, everyone except 21 of course. He was wearing his normal clothes, the only thing that would be different was that he was going to wear a mask. It was a plain mask, one side black, the other white. Some might say this was boring, but it was just the way he liked it. Coming out of his thoughts 21 noticed his time to strike was now. He was hoping this would actually work. 21 walked out of cover into the shadows, if he was seen it would be all over. Once he made it to the wall he stopped.
When he got to a balcony, he jumped onto it. No one was in the balcony yet, to his relief. He stood up and dusted himself off, he had to look somewhat presentable for the party. "This is going to be fun..." he mumbled to himself as he walked off the balcony, and into the mansion.

Takai of course bought his way into the party because he needed to complete a easy job, however before his target even arrived he managed to slip a car bomb into his vehicle killing him and all evidence of anyone else. He was wearing his regular super expensive suit and gloves, he left all his weapons because he kenw he'd be frisked and he was right. The minute he drove his 2005 corvette up to the rounded driveway and got out he saw people being frisked before allowed admittance. After passing everyone by he remembered the mask he was wearing was litterally was deaths bony face in a grin.
All these fools already fear me, yet I stand out more than anything else.He walked around erect and his muscles bulged at his suit he was walking around noticing random people and how they dressed and such. So far he was the most expensive looking person around. To top it off he could relax for the night at this party, maybe even get some information on kira or L.

As a decent amount of people began to flood in, he supposed he would have to give some sort of speech. It wasn't completely necessary, but if he worded his speech just right he had the chance of drawing in the attention of someone interesting. Not to mention, if he got it out of the way now, he wouldn't have to worry about doing it when everyone had finally arrived. For, what was a party without being fashionably late? As he stood up he looked over the crowd assessing its feelings towards the party. As he had suspected, most of these individuals were just the people he had chosen to make this seem a normal party. Thankfully, he spotted several individuals that liked to draw attention to them. He would be sure to keep a close eye on them indeed. He gave the thumbs up to turn the voice applications on.
"I welcome you to my wonderful party. I hope that you have a good time here and enjoy the food that has been provided for you. It is also my belief that you will enjoy the addition of the ballroom into the program. I look forward to seeing you all there in the near future dancing to private guests hosted by this party. The other guests of this party are highly respected individuals that have come into my sight. There are also a few that have been able to pay their way into this grand event. I'm no genius, which actually would be a lie, but it would be a very good thing for you to acquaintance yourself with these people to enhance your connections. Well, it seems that I have some matters to take care to and so I shall take my leave."
As he stepped down off of the small platform he grinned. As he had hoped, people began to head in the general direction of the richer looking participants of the party. If anything, that would allow him to better assess his situation. Not to mention, he also really had some matters to attend to before he could truly enjoy himself. Either way, he had a feeling that he wouldn't be able to completely relax this night. He certainly hoped so at least, for it was no fun without some action, eh? As far as he could see there was none. Plus, he was still extremely low on manpower and it wouldn't hurt to find some more people to enlist or hire. He supposed that he would just have to wait. Anyways, he had some "paperwork" to do and supposed that if he didn't do it soon someone else would. And, simply put and greatly understated, that would be bad,

Takai smiled a grim one at anyone near him and merely talked in a different language obviously telling them to not get near him. The majority of the people stayed away while the lesser intelligent ones actually got closer, he merely twisted their free arm behind their back without drawing attention and pushed them away soemwhat roughly. He stayed back drinking a coniac with two ice cubes in it, Idiots, I can't believe that guy made a speech like that. If he expects something out of anyone dress almost as well as me this is the only thing he is getting.
He sat down at the bar, on a stool and ensured that he drank his coniac slowly and a little at a time enjoying the taste appropraitly.

After the man was done with his speech 21 wasn't sure what to do next. He saw food over at the table and was tempted to go eat but stopped himself. He didn't want to be caught on a full stomach, then he wouldn't be able to think as well. When 21 had something in his stomach his thinking abilities were dulled a bit and he liked being on top of everything, peculiarly tonight. 21 scanned the room. He wasn't sure which room he was in at the moment but he knew he had to get by a window before he completely went insane. He hated being crammed up with people in a room, even if it was only 10 people. As he made his way over to a window the wheels in his head began to turn. He was thinking of a plan.
It took him longer to get to the window then he had expected, but now that he was by the window there was nothing to stop him from thinking. He looked at the stars and the moon in the night sky. The beauty made him stop focusing but only for a second. The night sky always fascinated him, but he knew know wasn't the time for his to dumbfounded. He had to think of a plan to met Kin. It wasn't a very likely chance that he would, but 21 was going to use all the brain power he had to make it work. This plan had to work or this wouldn't end very well for 21.

About an hour into the party, Kin reentered. Besides for the fact that his suit was a bit more unkempt than normal not much was out of place. He made his way through the crowd to reach the bar and get a strong drink. So far most everything had remained unexciting as by his standards. Even so, he could easily tell that he was being watched; whether for good or bad reasons he left open. He also hoped that he could learn something interesting by listening up at the bar and its current residence.
When he reached the bar he tapped the bartender on the shoulder to get his attention. As soon as the man realized who he was he immedieately came to attention saying," What would like to drink, sir?"
"Just give me something strong if you would. Preferably it would come from the wine family if you would. I just finished up some paperwork and its left a bad taste in my mouth. Hurry if you would," Kin replied shooing away the bartender to avoid further questioning.
When he received his drink he immidietely shot it down without a second thought. Thankfully he was blessed with a great kidney that would make his morning much more pleasurable the next day. With that in mind, he waved for another round and sipped at a more leasuraly pace. Unless he was mistaken he heard footsteps approaching behind him. Hopefully this would prove more entertaining than just some more organazation work. While he was at it, he might as well have wished for the moon.

He looked over and saw the man of the party, the one who caused a huge uproar over people dressed better than most. Persuasive bastard, he has no idea that he is seriously annoying me. Regardless he'd be the only one who would hire me for a hit, or a mercenary. Oh well, the coniacs good so I don't care. He thought all of that while he took one look at the host as if looking at him out of curiosity and that was all.
He drank his coniac in small doses so as to keep the taste going well.

As 21 approached the bar trying not to bump into anybody, he saw the host. He didn't really know much about him though by the way he looked, 21 guessed he liked to stick out somewhat. The man was dressed better then anyone at the party, and when 21 took his seat at the bar he was sipping at his wine. Even though 21 wasn't old enough to drink he was going to pretend he was, why else would someone come to a bar then to get a drink? He could pass older then his real age anyways, since he looked older then he was.
When the bar tender finally came and asked what he would like to drink he was stunted for a minute. He had always wanted to try a margarita, so he let that word slip out of his mouth. 21 wasn't a very patient man and when he was waiting he would tap his fingers and look around. He scanned the room with one swift glance, but looked longer at the man who was sitting next to him. He wasn't sure what caught his interest in the man, but something about him just didn't seem right to 21. Finally, he noticed that he probably shouldn't be staring at the host, it might seem rather mysterious, so he looked down at his tapping finger. When the margarita came 21 was glad he had something in his hands. It made him feel secure and less anxious.

As Kin continued to drink his wine he noticed that the footsteps he had heard was, after all, not coming from one of his personnel. It appeared to be a rather young adult if even that. He was sure that he had seen him before. If his guess was correct he was a member of the Wammy House. Just as the other member had been somewhat different so was he. By what his files said he had a certain attraction for the dark and acted somewhat different when it turned night. That would probably explain why he had sneaked into his party to begin with. Now it seemed he had another person interested in him. Maybe the night would be exciting after all.
Taking his chances, Kin turned to his side and looked over the younger man. He was a bit under dressed for the situation, but he suspected that he was trying to put across certain messages to the crowd. All was well he supposed. He supposed a short introduction wouldn't kill him. But, then again you could never tell in this world.
"I have noticed that you have certain interest in me. I'm not really surprised by this since my reputation often precedes me, but in case you are not completely sure of who I am. My name is Kin Marr and you may recognize me. Hopefully this would not be so for security reasons but things always leak of course. And who do I have the pleasure of meeting." Kin asked now returning to his drink as well as keeping an eye on several individuals and had also struck his eye as someone that could be helpful,

Takai noticed the man kin marr introduce himself to a kid, he didn't have information on him at all since he hadn't ordered any and the kid was underdressed and looked totally insecure in takai's eyes. He personally was making it obvious at that point to look like someone that was lethal and yet highly intelligent. He kept one hand on the table with his drink in his hand and the other below it hanging.
He held his glass at the bottom which mean't that anyone bothering him he wouldn't hesistate to splash it into their face which would blind them for a moment if not more. Anything more would be that he could easily at that point use the glass, break it and cut someone up. He made sure to look like he was ready to kill, however he put it out in 'low' signals so as to keep a low profile. None of the party guest seemed to notice if anything besides he was drinking a highly expensive drink.

21 let a small smile form on his lips and he took a sip. He had a feeling Kin would notice that he had been staring. How dumb had he preserved him to be? 21 wouldn't let Kin fool him again, though he knew he was a smart man. A very busy man too. 21 gave out a little sigh before he began to talk. This night could be more interesting then he thought. Very interesting indeed, and things just might go off course.
"I know who you are. Don't take me for a fool quite yet. I'm not sure if I'm a pleasure meeting but I'm 21. Nice to met you Kin, I've been waiting for awhile now." 21 wasn't smiling anymore as the words flowed off of his lips.
As he waited for Kin to say something back he looked down at his margarita. It didn't look half as good as it tasted. He gave out another sigh as he began to stir it. It was interesting how strange it looked when you stirred the margarita, but 21 found quite fascinating. The colors blended yet the taste stayed the same. 21 had never had anything like it before, but then he noticed he was spacing out and began to focus on Kin again. He didn't want to miss what this guy had to say.

Kin glanced over 21 again. It was a strange nickname to say the least, but Kin suspected it was neither the beginning or the end of such weird things concerning him. As far as Kin could see 21 seemed to have good intentions on meeting him, but for all he knew he could be an assassin planning the murder. He supposed that if it was his time he would just have to bite the bullet, but for now he might as well see what 21 was interested in.
"I don't know if I should be happy or frightful that you have wanted to meet me for so long. I guess it all depends on your intentions of meeting me in the first place, no? I really don't mind the company and all, but it would be nice if you just skipped the formalities and came straight out with what you want. I really can't say I get annoyed by such bluntness for I often use it myself to get to the real points in issues. That trait comes in very handy in politics for it keeps my opponents on their feet. I guess to most people that would seem as defeating my own cause but I do love a challenge now and again. I hope you don't mind me saying as much, but I do have other business to attend to so you should draw my interest in quickly or I may have to leave to fix any problems that come up."
Saying as much was probably only doomed to give him such a bad omen, but he really did not believe in any of that superstition stuff anyways. He doubted he could have come so far by being a jumpy madman. At least in his case his madness was countered by a larger sense of perception and a intellect to match it. Of course, he supposed that would not mattered much if Kira decided to hunt him down solely or something like that, but he would be sure that nothing like that occurred in the first place. For, if he could not even insure his own safety, his organization was as good as doomed.

21 wasn't sure why he wanted to meet Kin. He had always looked up to him one strange reason or another. Kin was almost like his role model, but at the same time wasn't. 21 just looked at his margarita for a minute. It was almost gone...he stirred it a little looking at the colorer fading from it. Then he looked at Kin, trying to think of what to say. He had never thought he would actually get this far. 21 took a deep breath and gave out a long sigh. 21 knew he was going to have to think of something and fast. He stirred his margarita one more time before talking.
"I would like to work for you. It's always been something I've wanted to do, and it would be an honor to work for you." 21 replied rather slowly, taking every word he said into consideration. He didn't want to screw this up.
21 wasn't quite sure why the thought of working for Kin pleased him, but it seemed that it would be rather interesting. Since 21 had been researching about Kin for awhile, he had an idea of what he wanted to hear. Now he had to consider if what Kin wanted to hear was something he could do. That was the one thing that would stand in the way. Unless 21 was letting an idea slip that was going to be the one thing that stopped him.

Takai had finished his coniac, and had tipped the bartender. Once he had heard all he needed to hear of the mr. 21 and Kin Marr he got the feeling he would probably be next. I better move to the balcony nearby and seat myself, hmm. I'll get two coniacs, that should get his attention at least. Takai ordered up two more coniacs and paid for them.
He seated himself at a small circular table rounding a balcony outside the place, it was at a distance from most people. Takai placed his coniac close to him on the table, and was looking over the edge. He also kept his hand on top of the open part of the glass to insure no one put anything in his drink. He already had placed the other coniac across from him at the other chair.
