what he could be feeling inside as he played this with her, ahh it must have been vicious! oh the fun of it all! of course, she didnt plan on being little jenny for too long, just at the very least until they get on the plane and take off, then they sit together, and after that, seperate ways they go! he didnt have to deal with her, she gotten what she wanted, now all she had to do was return the favor. her eyes widened, herself in her head a bit surprised he brought soda, the bright hazel eyes lit up and she stood to her feet. the man in the suit and him were talking, but soon the man nodded and walked away.
with a swing of her arms she held the stuffed rabbit in one hand and grinned, " okay eddie! I cant wait to see them!" she proceeded on to the terminal with a skip, knowing that Ed would follow, but she gave enough distance so that way he could follow close behind and talk to her before the next part of the game. she established for them the base of their disguises, so that way when they made it to boarding the plane he had a bit to work from. she cracked a smile waiting for his reaction to it all, only a bit of time to comment and be out of charachter

Ed grimaced. "You're enjoying this, aren't you?" He muttered. "I'll play your little game for now, but once we get on the plane, I'm not going to be your 'Eddie' anymore..." He smiled as he said this, and his tone was rather neutral, but the meaning was there.
"Are the theatrics truly necessary? I had assumed you were on the up and up, but considering you have need for such stealth, I'm now assuming you're in a bit of trouble?" He questioned. "Ah well, you can explain on the plane. Until then..."
He walked next to her. "Jen, how many times have I told you, we walk side by side. That way, it's harder to get lost. I'll bet you can't wait to see mom and dad. Remember last month, when you wet your bed, and they realized, and they finally found out that you never really got over that habit, but you'd been sleeping through it?" He chuckled. "That's the kind of thing only parents can deal with..."
He hadn't said it loud, but a few of the onlookers had turned head, or started chuckling to themselves. If this was to be a game, so be it...

All the while that he talked out of charachter, she continued on with a smirk on her face, " yep, no doubt about it." She looked at him for a split second, then turned back, " it dosent matter at all when we get on the plane, at least, it won't matter if you keep your cool, then you can change, your name changes and everything!" Then she turned and continued walking backwards her eyes on him with a sly smile," well...I'm not in trouble if I don't get caught!" She coaxed in a singsong voice," all you gotta do is follow the rules and not lose your cool and its smooth sailing from here on." She turned around and continued to walk to the terminal.
She could see him walk next to her at the corner of her eye and she walked on, at least until she heard his comment, she lost her balance and tripped. Groaning a bit as she stood to her feet. She walked now in a bit more of a calm," I hate you you know that?" She murmured," oh yeah big brother? You wet the bed too, at least that's what daddy told me... Said it was a 'boy thing'" she hoped he caught her drift, because a couple of teenage girls nearby knew, and they giggled to one another.

(Triple Post)
Ed laughed, smiling. He definitely had caught her drift. "Well, I definitely used to, but not anymore." He did not care what a couple of teenage girls thought of him. He was 23 years old, damnit. Granted, he could pull off a teenager, of course, but that wasn't the point. This was degreading.
"We should get going, Jen. Hang on to Floppy Bunny, I don't want you to go wandering off again." He began walking once more, following her, slightly behind so he could observe where she was going.
This girl, she may be toying with him, and she may be making him play this game, but she was smart, and a damn good actor. He actually was surprised at just how good, he would have been convinced by her performance, had he not known it was all a farce...

(Yeah this phone hates me)
Kagumi smiled as he laughed. She was able to one up him, that was good. Not to prove she was better, but to prove that she should be taken seriously. It had always been a disadvantage that she was young and a girl, but according to roger, she had to be honored that she made it as far as she did. She was the fourth L, the lowest of the group but still in the group, the only girl...
But she snapped out of it, she was starting to ramble. She nodded and hung on to the bunny's arm also holding on to the backpack with all of the extra's " we can make this quick, but we have time for one more segment of fun, but it is up to you."
Everyone had their own techniques. Near thought everything through with his toys, mello was a bully, kagumi on the other hand liked disguises. She was not the same person to two people, not the same name or the same past. Very few people knew the real kagumi michiyo, the one behind the mask, and kagumi preferred it that way, it just meant when it comes down to her identity on this case, it was secure as long as she left her real identity to the right people

Ed sighed, he said, calmly, only loud enough for the both of them to hear, "I don't give a damn how we do this, as long as I get on that plane. I've been doing stuff like this for years in the FBI, and I'm not about to let you slip me up. That's not the way I operate." He shrugged his shoulders. Fun? She considered this fun? Maybe she was like most girls, she liked playing dress up, and whatnot. But she had seemed to mature earlier. Perhaps this was just what she did. There was no explanation, it just was.
Most of the people he respected in their business had their little quirks and preferences. Seems like the better they were, the quirkier, as well. And this girl certainly was among the rest of them in oddities, but he was not so sure of her skill. She was a Wammy kid, but that didn't mean anything to him. It didn't matter either way, because it wasn't like they'd be working together. Once they got on that plane, it didn't matter how he acted. They were going separate paths...

She had continued to walk forward, but she stopped near the terminal gate to fish for the forged tickets she worked on before she left, " I have every intention of sending you back with me mister Ed, every intention, i dont like hard work going to waste," she pulled out the tickets, she had made two identical tickets down to the paper theyre made on and the codes imprinted. " i just felt like you needed this, dont ask me why or how, i just felt you did." she knew being in the FBI probably allowed him to wear disguises, but she wasnt sure how he would react to a quick change of charachter. Kagumi was fast when it came to changing from one identity to another.
She even continued with her change as she dug in her bag, pulling out a black anarchist messenger bag she folded up in her tiny backpack and stuffing her little backpack and the bunny into the bag. she zipped up her hoodie halfway and pulled out the ponytail to pull it into a low and loose ponytail. In a matter of 30 seconds she had gone from looking like she was 10 to appearing maybe 16 or 17 in age.
"allright lets go," she said with a small smile before walking back to the terminal. the charachter change was obvious, her stance was now lanky and bored, like a teenager should, her eyes were dull and she yawned for effect. near the terminal she switched to an evil glare, " I can take care of myself you know," she hissed a bit older and loud enough for others to hear, it was an act, but that part she wanted to make clear. " I cant believe my father sent you tobabysit me, i am 17 godd@mmit bruce I can stand spending seven hours on the plane on my own." she held the tickets tight in her hand as she sauntered hotly to the gate.

When Ed saw Kagumi changing around her appearance a bit, he sighed. She was obviously going to change the situation. Thus, it would probably not serve him to be the goody two shoes schoolboy any longer. He ruffled his hair, making it much messier, and unzipped his overcoat a bit, giving himself more a disheveled appearance.
As he saw her stride change, he decided he'd have to adopt a new one, as well. She strode with anger and angst, without care. Thus, he hung his shoulders and followed in her steps, giving him an exasperated and apologetic air.
As she spoke up, something about him needing to babysit her on her father's orders, he knew his role. He gained speed, and was then in front of her, walking backwards, making all the typical hand gestures. "C'mon Stacy, you know I don't want to do this. If it was up to me, I'd just toss ya on the plane, and you'd be gone. Hell, if it was just one of you, it'd be less expensive, but that ain't what it's about."
He kicked the dirt. "It's about you not earnin' your dad's trust. Now you got me stuck here, babysittin' you! So don't get all up in arms over me, maybe change yourself next time!" He exclaimed, not shouting, but raising his voice a tad. He looked over his shoulders at curious onlookers, as any guy would do during a fight in public, and fell in step next to her once more, glaring at her with aggravation.

She continued her less than confident walk to the terminal, her feet shuffling, but determined to stay in step with the new carachter that he created and that she did too. She was very quick witted that way, but sometimes it was just dumb luck. She would shuffle by him, giving a roll of her bright amber eyes and holding the tickets tight in her black nailed hand.
She didn't just do this to show what he was up against, she also did it to give him a bit of relief, any anger he had with her he could take out on her now while she was in charchter. She could handle the pressure well, and she would probably even feel better after a good fight with the boy, so that way by the time the two of them got to sit down and have a real conversation, all biases and pent up emotion could callously be pushed aside. She would not have to worry then.
The disadvantage to these quick changes was that she had to make it up as she went, she merely prepared her final task, then when the girl set up the situation, they built from one another. So when he barely pushed, it frustrated her a bit. "Well come on now bruce you are only a friend of the family, you could just tell dad that you came with me and hide out, he is keeping tabs on me not you."

Ed heaved a heavy sigh. "You don't get it, do you? To keep tabs on you, he's gotta keep tabs on me. I know he's pretty controlling, but seriously, you aren't the only one that's suffering!" He shook his head, heaving yet another sigh. "What the hell did ya do, anyways? I mean, I heard about the whole incident with Greg, but seriously, this is a pretty damn big overreaction..."
Switching the character, did she think this was funny? He wanted to get out of America without making a scene. Then again, he doubted many people would recognize him by face, especially in this outfit, but still, hadn't she heard of 'better safe than sorry'? He liked acting, sure. The whole process of becoming another person with your words and changes to your appearance had always been a secret passion of his, and he was damn good at it. But there was a fine line between acting when you had to, and acting without thinking. Was she simply compulsive? A habitual actor? As funny as that sounded, it also sounded about right.
Perhaps he deserved this. After all, he had flashed his badge for no apparent reason. Then again, that had very little consequences, but he supposed in Japan the chance that he'd be under surveillance by Kira increased tenfold. Was she protecting him? No, not protecting. Just briefing him. Showing him that she knew more than he did. How degrading. Yet he supposed it was necessary, and this was certainly something he'd take into account one he got there.
Still, how many cases had he solved because of his aggression? Like the game of chess, each piece has it's own specific move set and duty. As long as he made sure he wasn't in danger, it didn't matter how deep he was in enemy territory. Kira was the opposing King, and the other pieces were yet to be named. They had an advantage, however. Because, even when their King is mated, another will step to the plate, and deliver where the last failed...

On the inside Kagumi was smiling, she was impressed with how quickly he was catching on. She had to wonder to herself as she strode to the terminal if she should have made this one up beforehand as she did the other ones. Now it just meant she had to think about it, " I missed my flight the last time, so instead I just skipped to england. Dad got so angry I am surprised he is even letting me go back to Japan, all for a missed flight." When they got up she flashed the tickets then took her bag with her, since it was only a carry on. Anything else important was burned.
On the other side she waited for him her face softened a bit. It was best for the both of them whether he liked it or not. It would have been a shame for a detective like him to die before his time, especially before he reaches japan. And when he came there, flashing his badge would be the biggest mistake to make right now, he would have to be patient like she had to. She acted not only out of habit, but because that was her reinforced saftey, it was her ace in the hole. She could mimick and change down to the voice, as long as her appearence was left to the right people, the wrong people see her face and she is dead. She could not let that happen.
"Hurry Bruce, don't wanna miss this one too."

Ed sighed, in his typical manner in this persona. "Well, you skipped to England. That was a bone headed move..." He commented. "You know your dad. I'm pretty sure he'd shoot ME if you missed this flight." At her comment about hurrying up, he nodded. "Yeah, let's get going..." He picked up the pace to match her's, yet again.
Thinking about it, Ed realized that this was probably the safest he could possibly be. After all, if someone was looking for those that were enemies of Kira, they would never believe that his enemies would be making a scene in a public airport. That gave them a shield to protect themselves with, so to speak. As much as she may have taken this a bit far, she obviously had used this skill before. After all, she HAD told him that she was in a bit of trouble. So, of course, this would come in handy.
He looked at her. Wammy Orphans. He had spent his entire life convincing himself that they were nothing special. That they were just a bunch of proper, holier than thou imbeciles, who got the chance of a lifetime on just that, a chance. But this girl...he had to admit, the way she carried herself, and her skills in keeping her cover intrigued him. It was times like this he did, in fact, question whether or not he was truly good enough to be considered among them.
Good enough? He let the thought slide. He was better than them. The only one of them who could match his resume was L, of course, and even then, Ed had never worked worldwide. L had had more opportunities than Ed. Had Ed been given that kind of education, or notoriety, then perhaps he'd be just as good. But still, he'd have to hand it them, all of them. The kids from Wammy's House were worth his time...

The plan had gone off without a hitch, she crossed the terminal with him in ample time and still went the entire time not breaking character once. She changed clothes perfectly and personality altered at the turn of a dime. She gave a roll of her eyes as she walked about a foot in front of him, impatient step as she looked around for a spot. She knew where she was going, she just needed a second opinion.
So when she got to the inside of the plane she stopped and looked around, looked down at the ticket then to Ed. " Brucey do you know where this is?" She handed him the ticket, of course it was a blank copy, but there was no other way to ask him where he wanted to go without breaking character.
